I just recently purchased a wii u, and am looking into homebrewing it in hopes of getting back some of the old channels. But im a bit confused by the process, so my question is...
Is it possible to get the old channels (Forecast, news, ect.) on the wii menu for wii u using the HBC?
And if so could someone please point me in the right direction...

It is not possible to use those channels on the Wii U because the Wii U does not support WiiConnect24. The channels require WiiConnect24 to work.
@syc20099: the app you mentioned is not support on these forums and neither is the IOS you mentioned because it is a cIOS.
