update question

hello I have an early Wii with system menu update 4.1u, with newest hackmii installed. is the 4.3u update safe cause I have heard of some bad juju with the update bricking Wii's both modded and not. and if it is, is their any thing else/precautions do I need to take? thx for any help.

Updating should be perfectly safe. The only chance of bricking is if there's a power failure at exactly the wrong moment.
