Upgraded to 3.4E.....Did I do a bad thing?
January 25, 2009 12:57PM
Hello

I thought I'd treat myself to a Wii for my 40th on Thursday. On the big day I plugged my Wii in and messed around with the settings and discovered that I could connect my new toy to my wireless router. One thing lead to another and I was asked if I wanted to download updates. Not knowing any better I thought it would not harm things to keep the Wii up to date.

Did I do a bad thing by updating my Wii?

Since getting my shiny white box I've learnt about the Home Brew project and my little brain has gone pop with the huge learning curve for such a project.

Yesterday I ordered a copy of Twilight from a reputable site in the hope of following the tutorials on this site.

To easy my worries about feking the whole process up and ending with a very expensive doorstop, is it a good idea to downgrade my Firmware?

If so where and how would I find such info?

Cheers

You did not do bad thing. Homebrew will still work just fine on your Wii. Unfortunately, the only way to downgrade your wii involves installing an illegal IOS, so you wont find any information about that anywhere on wiibrew.
