How many bad blocks did you have?

When you backed your NAND up, how many bad blocks did you have?

I had 2.

If you backed it up multiple times, try to remember all the bad block counts.

I think i had three, maybe four.

I think I had 8

I think I had 5.

a friend of mine had zero...

Ha ha ha I had zero!! :-P Mwa ha ha. I got lucky...I think I've said this elsewhere too...:-|

Yeah zero here, a friend had about 20 but his kids are on the wii almost 24-7

Either 1 or 0. I'm thinking more 1.

I had 8 at first and now when I backup my NAND again it has 3 ...

Sorry, BootMii doesn't fix blocks, those are hardware defects. It just skips over them.

Also, I backed up again and still got 2.

These issues are still fine. The NAND chips get a test before leaving the factory. As long as they are under a certain number (IIRC 24 blocks) it will passes.

Is it possible to find out the number of bad blocks from my old nand.bin?
I was thinking of doing another backup of my now-bricked Wii and see if there are now more bad blocks, indicating my nand is possibly going bad...

the bad blocks i think are on the sd itself so that wouldn't tell you anything. 4
