Custom Guitar Hero DLC

Is it possible to have a version of this but goes the other way around? Instead of putting songs into Rock Band it would put them in Guitar Hero. Is it even possible? (or legal)

i would imagine in wouldn't be any more illegal than RawkSD...

but as a GH owner, i would also like :D

It isnt illegal. And nor would GH Custom DLC, there just isnt a way to do it yet, afaik. It would probably take a bit of reverse engineering of GH DLC for it to work, but it is technically pheasible.

did i misunderstand?
thats why i said it was illegal

oh no, sorry, i was saying i can't imagine it being any more illegal than RawkSD... as in any different than RawkSD... so if RawkSD is cool, then i would image anything made to do the same thing for GH would be cool too.

Yeah i can see how my post is confusing... my bad!

i hope it's PHeasable! :D

GH3 wii has no dlc
it is do-able
scorehero.com has some answers on customs on GH3

GH3 customs arent supported here as they must be burnt, and info on playing burnt discs can be applied to "backups".

I know and I wasnt asking for that....

I was asking if someone has made or could make an app that allows you to import songs to play in guitar hero

its not possible
in theory it is, but it would require backing up of the wii GH3 ISO
then an importer could take out the bonus songs you check off as "delete"
then you the app could look for the midis and ogg's needed, in a file called "gh3customs" in SD:/gh3customs/
wouldn't that be chill?

I was replying to calthephenom.

And regarding the post two above this one: Uh, what? It is perfectly possible it would work the same way as RawkSD, only it would work for GH World Tour instead of Rock Band 2.

Does that have a mac installer? And where do I get the MID files. Also, I assume I can just use any MP3 right?

Sorry for all the questions.

RawkTour itself works on Mac, with Mono. For replacing the note charts. The MIDI files you can find for Guitar Hero on scorehero.com, or for frets on fire, or pretty much any music game (if you get a .chart file, there's a converter called chart2mid2chart).

As for the audio... It's bink audio, and we don't have many choices for encoders. The only one I'm aware of is RAD Video tools, which is only for Windows. That's what the batch scripts control. So unless you know of a Mac Bink encoder, you'll need Windows or at least WINE/Darwine (which may or may not work with it).

What about This the 2nd one down.

It labels it as a "player" which isn't what you want. I don't have access to a Mac, for all I know it includes an encoder too. I don't think so though.
