Quotejbc007You could try reinstalling the latest version of IOS 56 without patches. You can either download an IOS 56 WAD with NUS Downloader and install it with WAD Import, or simply install it with DOP-Mii. Using DOP-Mii may be easier, but if you don't already have a trucha bugged IOS, you will have to patch one before it will work. Also, what version of Gecko OS are you using? QuoteSifJarDo you get an error message, like Error 002 or anything? I didn't get that through GeckOS or TinyLoad, but I did get #002 when I tried to load it using other apps.by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJartry TinyLoad, it may have better results... Tried TinyLoad. The white bar at the bottom of the screen loaded all the way, then the screen went green and froze like it does with GeckOS.......by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteWikiFSXWhat settings are you using? I haven't changed any of the settings. (At work now, so I can't check) I'm pretty sure everything is either "no" or "default."by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
So I just got the game, popped it in, and got a green screen of death. My Wii is version 4.2J (Japanese console) and the game was bought here in the US. I used GeckOS to load it, and the screen just goes green and stays frozen that way. I've played all my other games just fine using GeckOS, but Galaxy 2 doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions???by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteDanielHuehoGreat (or not so great), you have a cIOS. Download the USB 2.0 cIOS installer here: Run the installer, when you are asked to choose which IOS to use, select 249. After the install, try playing your DVDs again. Well, I ran the installer and tried to play a DVD but I still got the same problem...by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteDanielHuehonabeshin216, can you try running this app and posting the output? I just ran signcheck and here is what was posted: + Using ios 36 (rev 3094 + Region Japan + Hollywood Version 0x11 + Found 18 ios on this console + Analyzed IOS249 (rev 7) Trucha Bug : enabled Flash access : enabled BootZ access : disabled USBby nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoMaybe you should try more than one DVD (if you haven't already)... What kinds of DVDs are you trying to play? I've tried regular DVDs. Some I bought here and some I bought in Japan.by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJarHe's on 4.1, none of this will work. The only thing that will is HackMii Installer. He can't install cIOSUSB2.0 and he cant use that DVDx installer to do advanced install. EDIT: However, HackMii installer should do the job fine.... The thing is I've tried installing it with the HackMii Installer many times and I still get the same problem. However, my Wii isn't modded. Right now I'm just trying to uninstall and reinstall DVDx. So far, nothing works....by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
I did that and got the same message......by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find out why this is happening. I installed DVDx and Mplayer CE. When I go to Play DVD, a small message appears that says "mounting disc" and then nothing happens! Does anybody have any idea why this is happening? If it makes a difference, I have a Japanese Wii with system 4.1. Thanks in advance for any help!by nabeshin216 - Homebrew General
Well, it seems to be working now. I'm not too sure what was wrong before. All I did was delete everything on the SD card and reinstall it. Anyway, thanks for the help!by nabeshin216 - Getting Started
I have done all of that, but nothing comes up. I even tried again with Wii Brew SD Installer but still nothing comes up. Any ideas? Is it because my system is 3.4J?by nabeshin216 - Getting Started
I'd also like to know what you did to fix this. I'm having the same problem.by nabeshin216 - Getting Started
HBC was installed on my Japanese Wii with no problems. I've put apps on my SD card properly (named boot.dol and so on) but nothing happens when I load the HBC. I only see the bubbles. Any suggestions? Just to clarify, Homebrew Channel works fine and my Wii is version 3.4J if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help!by nabeshin216 - Getting Started
