Are you meaning to write your own "library" or cross-compile an existing one?by Tantric - Coding
tinysmb only supports Lan Manager 2.0 protocol - LM hashes. By default LM support is turned OFF in Vista, linux samba, etc. I've rewritten tinysmb to use NTLM. You'll see this soon in libogc and I'll be adding it to the three emulators you mentioned.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
QuoteJonasZSnes has had good network play for years. I'd call this doable. Pointless to say. A better question is who's going to do it?by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
The game-specific saving issues have since been fixed. Note that in the current release, state saves are broken.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
This is broken in the latest version. See: Either use an earlier version, or wait for the next one.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Quotedaniel_c_wQuoteiofthestormWell I think if you follow that definition of piracy than running ROMs in an emulator is piracy. Even if you physically own the game, I think you have to dump it yourself for it to not be piracy. Maybe. It depends on the laws of the place where you live. QuoteDrLuckyyeah, most old games are not covered by piracy laws... Every game is protected by copyrigthby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Quoteekeekethis is not NTSC (or PAL) standard but this still remains compatible and I can guarantee you this worked with all TVs I got so far it's however true that this is sometime not compatible with some modern LCD or HDTV, hence why nintendo added a "interlaced" mode support in their VC Just to add to this, the incompatibility I've experience with my HDTV is it outputs all 240pby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Original mode does not appear to work on all setups - like mine, for example. I just can't get it to work. My TV just doesn't accept the input. I have component cables and a 720p TV. So I set original mode to be disabled in Snes9x GX if you're using component cables, to prevent anyone from encountering this problem. The menu option is only hidden, that's all. Who knows, ifby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Both. It only happens after you enter/leave the menu 30 times or something. I've personally never had it happen to me.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Yes it's a problem with the emulator.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
No, so you'll either have to wait for r16, or download vs cvs/git.by Tantric - Coding
The newest libogc release is aleady on the devkitpro site in compiled form (r15). That's the point - if you want the latest beta version you must go to CVS or hackmii git, and compile it yourself. The latest commit may not compile properly, may be unstable, may be more stable, may offer new features, etc - who knows - which is why the code hasn't been packaged and distributed as a releaby Tantric - Coding
QuoteteknecalBefore I remove all the old emulators for Snes, does Snes9x GX v007 offer all the capabilities that the unofficial Snes GX versions do? Yes, same goes for FCE Ultra GX 1.0.5.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
You'll have to wait until it's stablizied, or use the hackmii git libogc/libfat.by Tantric - Coding
Yes, as shagkur said they are currently working on a new release, so the current CVS cannot be compiled.by Tantric - Coding
See issue 31 on the VBA GX site.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
QuotequixadaHey thanks for adding that feature-- I will wait patiently. (BTW, I don't use Windows.) Is there a way to remove the other snes9x entries listed in the Homebrew browser? I count seven it total-- it's rather confusing. You could complain to Teknecal (HBB author) on the HBB Wiibrew article about this. I would, but I'm biased!by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
QuoteDrLuckyThe games I have tried have been working for me... What is the auto patching feature? (I usually learn what I need to know, so this patching is new...) It's a feature where you can put the ROM and an IPS file in the same folder, with the same name. The IPS file contains a translation of the game (eg: Jap to Eng) - and its automatically applied to the game.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
These directions are wrong. Download the latest release of Snes9x GX. A sample folder structure is contained within. Also see the Wiibrew article if you need more help.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
First of all, there's only one Snes9x emulator currently in development - Snes9x GX. All other versions are old variants of older versions. I should also mention the latest stable Windows version is 1.51+. Snes9x GX is based off this version, and it's the only Wii SNES emulator out there that is. Patching is not a feature of any of the versions out there. Your assumption that the feaby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
As said above, the devkitpro GX and VI functions are the reverse-engineered counterparts to the Nintendo ones, by the same names. As such, the Nintendo Revolution VI (Video Interface Library) and GX (Graphics Library) 250 page official documentation (confidential) would probably be helpful to you. Don't ask where to find them though!by Tantric - Homebrew General
