So, let me think. If i have a bootmii backup of my wii , or a friends wii, which is on 3.1. And it never was online with the shop channel, when i use this in sneek, and change there the shop region. This should be a save method to get a japan shop region wii environment, right?by bomigoton - Homebrew Applications
When you do a bootmii backup before changing the shop region, will you be able to access your old account after restoring? Did somebody try? Wait, the anyregion changer page says you cannot change the shop region anymore. Since which update? QuoteThe latest update to the shop channel BREAKS SHOP COUNTRY REGION CHANGING! Be warned that your Wii may be stuck in a certain region for the shopby bomigoton - Homebrew Applications
It is two month old, but anway: If u want to play with your friend in PAL Region (without too much effort), either he needs a ntsc version of the game, or you need a pal version of the game. You will need to start a new savegame, beacause you cannot use PAL savegame on NTSC version and vice-versa. I know from a friend, the NTSC Version works from europe.by bomigoton - Homebrew General
Hey There I was playing around with the mii extractor and a hex editor on my wii. I took wiibrew as my download source. mii extractor was fine, mii installer was a link to a strange site (different than the mii extractor). then i found out, that the link was to the old software version (1.0), where you get the "database is full" error by installing more than one mii. Finally, Sports Resort did an update, now its fixed. Thanx! Update blocking was not active. Wii Sports and Lego Indy did not perform an update.by bomigoton - Homebrew General
Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus have the 3.4 update included. New Super Mario Bros. Wii has the 4.1 update with the Boot2v4 on it. I hope this will fix his IOS36, and won't interact in a bad way with his system menu 4.2. Is there no way to change the IOS reload to a different IOS? By editing the source code? Or using nand emulation?by bomigoton - Homebrew General
The problem is: DOP-IOS mod is not starting. no homebrew application starts.by bomigoton - Homebrew General
Update: Ok, you are right, he patched IOS 36 and IOS 70 before trying to install the preloader. So, what would be the next step to fix this? Edit: cIOS 249 is installed.by bomigoton - Homebrew General
I will check, if there was IOS patching, as I did not operate this Wii. For my understanding either __the systemmenu has a problem or __the IOS Homebrew runs on Which is the IOS Homebrew runs first? The same IOS HBC runs on? How is it possible to change this IOS? Wii SPorts runs fine, bannerbomb and IndianaPwns are not able to start Homebrew, same as the HBC. Always a Blackscreen.by bomigoton - Homebrew General
Hello Wiibrew! Another interesting Wii issue. Here it goes: A friends Wii has 4.2E as System menu. He installed the HBC with bannerbomb for 4.2. Then he used Trucha Bug restorer, to re-enable the fakesigning big in ios 36 over ios 16. Then he installed preloader 0.30, the installation went through, but he was not able to start the preloader menu. Since that: No homebrew is able to stby bomigoton - Homebrew General
Saving space makes sense. OK then.by bomigoton - FixMii
No it has not bootmii as boot2 available. So Nintendo created a "MUST BRICK" with the IOS 60 stub. good idea, to make the people fear using homebrew on Wii.by bomigoton - FixMii
When you are on 4.0, and ios60 is a stub, is there no way to boot a rescue disc? even with a mod-chipped drive? Is a working systemmenu always necesary for that?by bomigoton - FixMii
