Even the ones that are flagged for No Copy? Don't you have to at least run something in Gecko OS or whatever to remove No Copy flags to allow the save data manager to copy them?by Zendeavor - Getting Started
Apps run from the SD card only. Installing apps to the system menu to run as a channel usually requires iffy legal practices unless the channel is not based on Ninty code I believe. Which is rare. I personally just shuffle apps around on a need-to-use basis. Takes 15 seconds if you keep things organized. Also, homebrew browser just downloads apps onto your SD card.by Zendeavor - Getting Started
You can do that too...by Zendeavor - Homebrew General
Looks like you just need to make sure the HBC's boot.dol file is in the root of your SD card. That's a 512mb card, yes? Seems like the Wii is reading it just fine, but you may need to format it to FAT16. That'll make sure the card is using the correct filesystem and that unnecessary clutter and leftover data is removed.by Zendeavor - Getting Started
Yup. The format thing was just a last-ditch effort. Get a SanDisk card, I'm positive they are fully compatible with the Wii, even down to the 256mb size. If you think you'd really like the Wii homebrew scene, I would suggest a minimum 1gb card. Get a 2gb if you can. Or you can go a different route and get a small SD card to start with, like a 512mb. Then you can get the hack on yoby Zendeavor - Getting Started
Yup, I have heard quite a bit about bootmii. Not sure exactly what functionality it brings, but that's because I'm too busy working on making the current hacks I use as efficient as possible, as well as safe. As for copying your data, I'm not sure how to do it with Gecko OS. Somewhere there should be an option I would assume that allows you to remove No Copy flags, but don'by Zendeavor - Getting Started
Not necessary to edit your posts or anything. Just please in the future don't single me(or I suppose anyone else) out as a minsinformant for any reason other than giving out false info. Like I said, everything I mentioned was true. While they may not be Wiibrew's preferred methods or whatever, nothing about what I said was wrong or misinformed. As for bg4545, all I said was Geckoby Zendeavor - Getting Started
Well, since you had it working here's what I would suggest. Pull all the files from your SD card and save them on your PC somewhere as backup. I doubt you want to lose your pictures, and I doubt you want to go through the hassle of organizing the tphack files again. Once you have them all backed up(just copy it all to a new folder on desktop) then open cmd prompt. Just hit the windowsby Zendeavor - Getting Started
First of all, Arikado, this is with all due respect toward you as a moderator and homebrew guru. But I feel the need to defend myself, because I gave him absolutely zero "misinformation." Maybe this is just semantics, and irrelevant, but I answered a question or two that he had, and offered a solution other than Gecko for his issues. Nothing in my post was wrong, everything was true. Put TP in your system and make a new file. If you're running 3.4 then there's a bit of a trick. On your SD card, folders should look like this. The first word is the name of the folder in the root of your SD card. The ->- symbol signifies that you create a folder inside it with the next word as the name. private > wii > title > rzde. -inside here should be a file naby Zendeavor - Getting Started
You don't need the gecko os for anything, and as far as I know all the Ocarina codes are still in development. All you have to do is go to the site and search around or ask someone. If you have HBC installed, then you're set. I won't suggest any packages to grab, as most of them lead to precisely pirating and little else. But if you search around you will find many apps, files,by Zendeavor - Getting Started
so I dumped my NAND and grabbed this .app file to play with. I got u8tool and unpacked it. From here though, I don't know what's going on. What file do i go for next in what folder? what do i use to unpack/explore it? Also, when I unpacked the .app file and then looked in the output folder, there were two files named corrupt_xx.ash and corrupt_xx.tpl Did they corrupt during unpby Zendeavor - Getting Started
