I have the latest home brew channel, and the home brew browser. I installed quake from the browser, and it showed up in the HBC just fine. But, when I tried to run it, it says "The following error occurred: file system not enabled." and then it quits. I am loading from a USB, is that the problem? I have gotten all the other apps that I download to work, except this one.by fozzi_behr - Homebrew Applications
So, I need to update the HBC right? When I load the channel, a little window pops up that says I should update, I click ok. The hackmii text screen goes through its thing, but says error: can't flush SD. Do I need the boot.elf files, etc. on the SD during that update? Or does it just need it in the slot for temporary purposes?by fozzi_behr - Getting Started
So, if I plug in an SD for the update, it needs no files on it correct? So I don't need the boot files on the thing? Also, can I be sure that if there are other things on it (like photos, etc) they will not be deleted?by fozzi_behr - Getting Started
Ok, so I went through the update with hackmii (the channel said there was a later version and ran it), and it said all three things could be installed, but it gave me an error that said something like it could not flush to SD, then it wouldn't exit, so I had to hold the power button to turn off the wii. What went wrong? I didn't have an SD inserted, should I?by fozzi_behr - Getting Started
Ok, I want to freshly install Homebrew through the Bannerbomb method. A few questions: 1. I have an old version of homebrew, beta 8, should I delete it in my wii settings? 2. If I install the latest version, can I use a USB for app data in the future? 3. If bootmii can't be installed in boot2, is it worth it to have it as an IOS?by fozzi_behr - Getting Started
So, I found my version, and I think the matter is its simply too old for usb support, i think: it says "beta 8", so that's pretty oldby fozzi_behr - Getting Started
Ok, so I formatted my USB to FAT32, and in the root is inly an apps folder, which inside has the homebrew_broswer folder, and inside that has all the requirements for running. I plug it into my wii, while off, without any other memory devices in, and start up the homebrew channel. Inside is a blank screen, two small icons on the bottom right. One is a gecko, the other, idk. The non-gecko is flashby fozzi_behr - Getting Started
Ok, I think my homebrew is a little old, but i'll try formatting. Also, when I open the channel, it shows me an option to update, so it loads it, goes into a screen with text, says everything can be installed, then I hit ok, but it says error: cannot flush to SD and it just stops, won't let me exit. I can still turn the wii off, but it won't update. Any ideas why? And also, can I iby fozzi_behr - Getting Started
I installed the homebrew channel like a year ago onto my wii, by the twilight hack. But, I don't have an SD card anymore, and no apps. Can I load the apps through a USB in the homebrew channel? I tried this, but none would show up. (I put an apps folder on the root of the USB and inside was a game folder, inside that was the correct boot.dol and game files, then I plugged it in and ran the hby fozzi_behr - Getting Started
