Ok, thanks! Yay, it worked. :) Will I ever need to repeat this process though? Just wondering.by SuperShineKid - Offtopic
After using the homebrew channel successfully for sometime, I decided to finally put the Virtual console games and my Animal Crossing City Folk photos back on my SD card. I got the folders on my SD card, but when I tried loading up one of my games (this case it was Majora's Mask) it gave me some message like "this channel could not be launched. Manage your Wii System memory to launch this chby SuperShineKid - Offtopic
I think we figured it out... the rechargeable batteries we had been using went bad. We replaced them with regular double A batteries, and it worked.by SuperShineKid - Homebrew General
It's not because of homebrew? Thank goodness. In the system menu, I'm pressing 1 and 2 like it tells me to when going to the sync menu via pressing the home button. On the Wii menu, I'm holding the red sync button on the console, and the red sync button on the back of the wii remotes. A couple of wii remotes will stay synced for 3-4 minutes, after I put them down. The other twoby SuperShineKid - Homebrew General
I was having problems with the connections on my Wii remotes. See, what would happen is, I would sync one up, and for a brief second, it would show the player 1 signal on the wii remote, then it would go away. Would the Homebrew chanell have any interference? Also, what about blacklights and stereos not connected to the system?by SuperShineKid - Homebrew General
Okay, I think I got it... I think changing the settings on the emulator is what helped me. I've got: Root: "apps" folder apps: snes9xgx snes9xgx: roms, saves, boot.dol, icon, meta, settings... So yeah. Okay, do I put the DCIM and private folders which have my AC:CF folders and Wii VC games back into the root of the SD?by SuperShineKid - Getting Started
Wait, shouldnt I have an "apps" folder in the root of my SD card with snes9xgx in that? That's what I've been doing... Where do the roms and saves folders go? Will the still work if I made them?by SuperShineKid - Getting Started
I made folders with those names...actually, I tried something different, and it worked. I just went to the emulator's settings, and changed it around a little: I made it so that the folder it loads games, (and apparently, the saves they have made) and the folder that loads save states are the folders that I made for them. I dont know why it wouldnt do that automatically...by SuperShineKid - Getting Started
Also: when I download Snes9x Gx, it only comes with four folders inside after I extract it to my SD card: -boot.dol -icon -meta -readme I'm guessing since I don't have a folder for roms, OR saves.... that's why? Then why doesn't it come with a folders for those?by SuperShineKid - Getting Started
Thanks...but no, I'm not using a snapshot. I'm saving in-game: not with save states. I cant load up my in-game save file...by SuperShineKid - Getting Started
Hi. I'm new to this forum... I just recently downloaded the homebrew channel on my wii. It was pretty simple, really...but anyway. I'm using Chrono Trigger as a test: I did an in-game save, but when I load the game back up, it acts as if I never saved and takes me to the ATB mode selection screen, when you first start a new game. (not a new game +) So, I'm just wondering... hby SuperShineKid - Getting Started
