That's still usable to softmod a Wii with homebrew channel right?by Saint - Getting Started
that's all we need is another ignorant online hacker who gets homebrew for the sole purpose of Gecko OS so he can be "leet".by Saint - Getting Started
Maybe it's just the private folder I need to delete. I keep bootmii on because I have it auto-boot to my HBC since there's no point in going to my main wii menu anymore as I can load anything I want from there.by Saint - Getting Started
Whenever I go to the SD Card menu, I can see it's still trying to load boot.elf or whatever, and my Wii freezes and makes that buzzing noise (it asks me to load boot.elf and freezes). I modded my Wii LOOOONG ago, and I just decided to ask this now. I'm on a 4.1U Menu if that matters (that's the menu I softmodded it on too). I'm pretty sure this is just the matter of me not delby Saint - Getting Started
Isn't the purpose of bootmii is the fact that it loads up before your Wii does so if you get bricked you can do a NAND Back up? So what's the point of people who have newer Wii's and can only install Bootmii as an IOS?by Saint - Getting Started
I've never had a settings file what does that do exactly...by Saint - Getting Started
Ok so I modded my Wii a while back, it was 4.1 when 4.2 was well released, I have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex, and it never asked me to update to 4.2. I modded my Wii (softmod, homebrew), and ever since it's asked me to update if I want to play Reflex through the disk channel. It's not really a problem for me as I just load the game through Gecko OS now, but I'm curious asby Saint - Getting Started
Lol there's even a Wii emulator, (which I believe is legal unless you don't own a Wii), unfortunately it doesn't support Nintendo WFC.by Saint - Getting Started
I already have my Wii modded and stuff I'm aware of IOS's and such, I was just curious of there being any precautions because I wouldn't want to be blamed for getting someone's new Wii bricked. You would think nintendo would do things to new wii's to stop them from being modded to prevent piracy?by Saint - Getting Started
I wish with WiiSX you could use legit bought Ps1 games because I have those and there's no support :(by Saint - Getting Started
Does Nintendo do anything to new Wii's bought in stores so you can't softmod it with smash stack/bannerbomb, or is it just the same as if you were to own a 3 year old Wii and softmod it.by Saint - Getting Started
yeah the recommended first app you should get is Homebrew Browser since you can download sick stuff from there.by Saint - Getting Started
QuoteSifJar As for whether you can delete stuff: depends whether you're done with it, duh. We don't know what you have done or want to do. Deleting stuff won't delete the stuff they installed. To the "duh", that's why it's the newb section here hehehe, I was just making sure. I edited my post to remove the stuff that was unsupported here, sorry for that.by Saint - Getting Started
I have solved my own problem with Autoboot. For those who are wondering, autoboot automatically selects one homebrew channel or system menu, in a certain amount of time in seconds, of your liking. Go to your SD Card, and look in the BootMii folder there will be bootmii.ini , open that with wordpad. It should look like this # BootMii config file # Video mode, possible settings: # NTSC, Pby Saint - Getting Started
I've been using BootMii for a while now on my wii, incase something happens to it and I need to recover it. However, it's annoying to constantly go up to my Wii to control bootmii. Is it possible to put certain files on my computer, and if something does happen to my Wii, I can put the files back on and recover with no problems? Thanks.by Saint - Getting Started
