QuoteirishpunkI have another question. I have installed the HB Browser and I downloaded a few apps but I can't figure out how to get anything to run. I put my netflix cd in but it can't get an interface to run it.. I feel really dumb.. how can I get to it and my games I downloaded from the wii game shop channel Hold on...huh? I'm not understanding the question either. It sounds aby Anguawolf - Getting Started
Hey SifJar...don't get all snippy on me. If you have a valid reason you'd like to share that I can't type my own nickname, then I will respect that. I honestly don't see the difference with that and typing emotes to show an expression of how you are feeling. When people put banners and such in, I can see that and I totally have no problem with that. But all I am doing is makinby Anguawolf - Getting Started
Actually, I've found that I rather like the nifty look of having channels for some of the custom stuff and if you have both the app and the channel installer, you can delete the channel installer after you use it. Just click on it in the HBC and make sure it says "installer" in the description before you delete it, though. You don't want to delete the app itself. This helps keep your HBby Anguawolf - Getting Started
Am I right in thinking you are getting this while playing the SSBB game itself? It sounds just like mine when I play and it goes to a select stage with the SD card in it. Turns my Wii into a screaching banshee! If I am correct that this is what you are meaning, I pull my SD card out of the Wii when I play and it works fine. I was assuming it is just because I never deleted the bootmii.elf and boby Anguawolf - Getting Started
Ok, along that same lines of the bootmini.elf, I have a question. After you have installed HBC, is it ok to delete the .elf files from the SD card? I'm guessing they aren't used anymore especially by Smash Bros (since that's what I used and now if I play Smash Bros with the SD in the slot, it turns my Wii into a screaming banshee when it tries to pick certain levels to play on).by Anguawolf - Getting Started
I'll take a crack at answering this to the best of my ability since nobody else has yet. This is from my own experience and reading up on stuff...which does take a good long time but can be done. First off, you can't play DVD without something to help the Wii along. If your Wii is too new, it won't do it anyway. If that's all you want to do, disregard EVERYTHING I'm aby Anguawolf - Getting Started
To --bg4545 Sorry 'bout that, hon. I kinda just got carried away in answering the question to be friendly. Won't happen again.... And as for the sig, the control panel thing for the forums has a space to make one. I just figured it wasn't working. I can just type it. =D -= ^_ ^=- ~Angua~ Thanks!!!by Anguawolf - Getting Started
Hiya! <3 I'm pretty new to doing homebrew on my Wii also, but I've found lots of neat stuff you should be able to do. Now, my own Wii does play DVD's...more or less. I've only tried a couple and it seemed to read them, but getting past menu was a bit wonky. Of course my Wii is about 2 yrs old or so. It does have 4.3U. You should be able to easily install the Homebreby Anguawolf - Getting Started
Aww, c'mon guys. Two words could answer this. =D IT'S FUN. You can't tell me you don't feel some satisfaction in going over to a friend's house, seeing their Wii sitting there and saying "Guess what MINE can do" and watching their disbelief when you tell them.by Anguawolf - Getting Started
Axel is the best! Another option is to try Gamefly if you don't have a local rental store (like me! :( ). It seems they have a free trial period where you can cancel at any time. Just google gamefly free trial. This may take a little longer, but it sure seems much easier and safer than tinkering around with a Wii's innards.by Anguawolf - Getting Started
QuoteAxelWell, that is step #1 in the smashstack guide :) Quote1.Go to the stage builder, move any existing custom stages on Brawl to your SD card, and exit the stage builder. Smash Stack will not work if the console has any custom stages on it, even the three samples that come with a new file. Thanks anyway for sharing with the rest of people, they might be missing that very same step too :by Anguawolf - Getting Started
FIXED!!! I know what the problem is!! ERASE ALL CUSTOM STAGES FROM SYSTEM MEMORY INCLUDING THE TWO ORIGINALS INCLUDED WITH THE GAME THEN press B button to BACK UP one menu, then go back into the Vault and level editor. IT WORKED FOR ME! ~Angua~by Anguawolf - Getting Started
Hi guys! I'm new to the Wii homebrew as well, but I have some experience in running homebrew on other systems, so I knew to try to find my answer elsewhere before posting. I am very sorry if this is a terrible subject, but I am having the exact same problem with the Smashstack on my own 4.3U Wii. I have been working at this for a couple of days and the reason I couldn't get it to workby Anguawolf - Getting Started
