I guess I never updated this post, but I sent it to Nintendo, they sent me back an older Wii than the one I had. (with 4.3 firmware on it, as expected). I successfully re-hacked it, and all that, and so far, I don't think Nintendo's figured out that there was even homebrew on it. And I've always heard about Nintendo refusing to repair Wiis with any type of homebrew installed onby angelXwind - FixMii
It's simply not working at all, my bootmii.ini looks like this (I commented out the AUTOBOOT variable): # BootMii config file # Video mode, possible settings: # NTSC, PAL50, PAL60, PROGRESSIVE VIDEO=NTSC # Autoboot, possible settings: # SYSMENU, HBC # AUTOBOOT=HBCby angelXwind - FixMii
Something I found out: If you boot the Wii without a disc in it, the blue LED flashes 2~3 times, which means BootMii is installed, just not functioning? (or did the updater implode while boot2 was being installed)by angelXwind - FixMii
Note that the Homebrew Channel and DVDx is still there, and the last time I checked, they don't fix Wiis (for free) with any sort of homebrew on it.by angelXwind - FixMii
It had occurred immediately after the update.by angelXwind - FixMii
As stupid as this may seem, my Wii has been getting black screens, even with BootMii (as boot2). It just turns on, then refuses to do anything else (except when there's a disc in the drive, then it flashes a few times). It all started when I decided to update to 4.2, it decided to randomly implode and spit out a Code Dump. Yes, I have a backup of my NAND, which would only help if BootMby angelXwind - FixMii
...you're screwed. After attempting to comprehend your first post, this is the only step where you messed up: QuoteZpitx6 i instal cioscorps 3.2 cIOScorpse installs a custom DIP module which prevent the HackMii installer from functioning properly. Then you tried to do a NAND backup. That's when everything went wrong. So either: 1) Your BlueTooth module is fried. 2)by angelXwind - FixMii
What do you see when you turn your Wii on?by angelXwind - FixMii
formats your Wii's NAND since cIOScorp corrupted it.by angelXwind - FixMii
...you have only the Comex MINI NAND Formatter...but doing so will get rid of everything on your Wii regardless.by angelXwind - FixMii
cIOSCORP corrupted your NAND. Just...just..don't use that. It just installs a crapload of stuff that doesn't even work AND has the added benefit of being dangerous. And if you installed cIOScorp just to play , it doesn't even play correctly, so the way I see it, you're screwed unless... What BootMii version did you install before it failed (beta4, beta3, beta2, beta1by angelXwind - FixMii
Try using different versions of BannerBomb, there are quite a few. And just what System Menu version is it now? (since you updated from 3.3U)by angelXwind - BootMii Beta
Similar problems, but not the same (I had ES_Identify as a problem, you had ES_DeleteTitleContent). Read these: QuoteTopGun96Are you using Dop-IOS MOD or the original? Mod has the option before the main screen pops up. QuoteSifJarIt seems you dont have ES_Identify in IOS36 then. Simple solution. Download Dop-IOS MOD (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Dop-IOS_MOD) and run it. Select to run on an IOS yby angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
YES!!!!! OMG!!! My Wii is officially fixed! Thanks to everyone here, I can see! YAY! Oh well...yes, I ended up having to do this: 1) Run Dop-IOS MOD with IOS: 249 2) Patch IOS: 36 with ES_Identify and Trucha Bug. 3) Run Setting_Replace and overwrite existing PAL-U Setting.txt with new NTSC-U Setting.txt.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
You have the same problem as mine, your IOS36 has...oddities with it (concerning the ES_ instruction set), ask one of the more experienced people here, all I did was modify an app.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Okay, I know I already asked this, but will using a component (480p) cable REALLY work? Since 480p is a EDTV standard, it should be universal, and PAL/NTSC barrier will be removed...will it? And by using the component cable, will I have to switch the video mode in the Options menu? (semibrick galore!) If that is so, forget I even mentioned this.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
You misunderstood, I was asking if IOS249 was Trucha Vulnerable. I have IOS249 in my system already. My Wii had it since I got it.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
..is the 3.4U IOS249 trucha vulnerable?by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
The mod, so is it the screen where it says:by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
How? I don't see the option anywhere... (As if you could call anything that goes on in my head , "seeing")by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
...Nope, it didn't work...unless if someone here has the button presses? And now it even Dop-IOS MOD spits out a -1017 error of sorts at me... I just kept pressing A and eventually to a Press A to continue screen. Then the screen filled with numbers and the phrase "SD Card Load" and "-1017" S_R has no difference whatsoever. And HackMii installer failed. It just spit random numby angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Thanks! Now after I install BootMii, and create NAND backup, I will try Dop-IOS MOD. Then as a safety precaution, after I get the Wii back in NTSC-U, I will NAND Backup again.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Yes, please. (I googled it, is it the one WB3000 made?)by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Well, when I get IOS36 with a trucha bug it will be September 9-10. (since my friend has my Datel Lan Adapter, and won't give it back) So...we'll just have to wait to see if this works...but I'm pretty confident about MattMan and SifJar's way working. A big thank you to everyone who helped out here.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
QuoteWarning This application can brick your Wii if misused. If this occurs, YOU are responsible because you used the application. The authors take no responsibility for any harm done to your Wii by this application. In other words, I will try to use it, but I'm going to install BootMii before doing this (and create a NAND backup), since I'm pretty much blind here.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Well, I seem to have found out some stuff about S_R, and I took some pictures (it simply makes it easier to read) and it seems that it "fails" ES_Identify on IOS: 36. Take a look: NTSC-U Wii Stuck in PAL-U Mode EDIT: If it's too hard to read, I can type it out for you.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
...by pressing what button?by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
Well, yes, if S_R could copy the NTSC-U Settings.txt BACK to my Wii, the problem would be solved.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
...well, I can see why you guys don't trust "GBAFail" because all it really gave was yet ANOTHER version of Setting_Replace. >=( There's only one good thing that came out of this, I managed, with their version of S_R, to extract a copy of the Setting.txt onto the root of my SD card. (I don't know how I did it, I really just mashed on the GameCube controller buttons) I oby angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
no...no matter how many times I jam on the A button, the thing just either: A) Sits there and does nothing B) Returns to Homebrew Channel and there is a warning of sorts: Quote/!\ WARNING SYSTEM and REGION do not match! /!\ or something like that. And every time i re-launch the AnyRegion Changer, the settings look as if they were never touched. If you want, I can upload a video.by angelXwind - Homebrew Applications
