1080p wii games months away!!?? (text from ideas section of wiibrew.org)

I found something interesting in the homebrew channel/ideas section of wiibrew.org:


"Make Wii menu Full HD or at least 720p using the TechRepublic's PA library DeViX's Custom Sony Bravia Engine. HomeBrew menu launcher is nearly finished Homebrew menu launcher is finished but is nearly 600mb. Interpolation is FINALLY POSSIBLE!!! Full HD games are a couple of months away!! I can get the Wii to work with 720p with the component cable. HDMI cable works now. 576i in System Menu is now 1080p. After I find a way to make it smaller and to eliminate proprietary code (for example code that would be illegal if shared).
Possibly making a custom Firmware.. The extractor has helped. But I have no libraries that will open a majority of the graphics libraries."

But what does that mean? Does it mean homebrew games will be 1080p? Also does that mean the wii will be able to output 1080p for regular games via a firmware update?? Please shed some light on this.

AFAIK, the Wii video resolution is a hardware limitation. And WTF is a DeViX's Custom Sony Bravia Engine????

That whole page looks like nonsense. Where did you find that page? Is it linked somewhere?

It would be nice to know who was working on this project, or was it someone just messing around...
