MPlayer CE Freezing

I know I have another topic open about freezing, but I wanted to open a different one to discuss the cause of this problem. I'm currently running...

cIOS 38 rev 14
Hermes' cIOS (latest) installed as 222
The latest cIOS USB from the MPlayer CE site
MPlayer CE 0.75

As of yesterday, it would play but freeze occasionally. I'd say every other show I watched would freeze at some point in the middle. As of today, however, I can't even get to the file browser. When I click on "Wii USB," "Wii SD," or "SMB" (the only methods I have set up to play videos), it freezes immediately. I have not changed anything installed on my Wii since about a week ago (whenever 0.75 came out). Any idea what could be causing this problem? Thanks.

i believe cIOS r14 screws with almost everything. (not that cIOS's dont do that anyway) Rev14 just seems to mess with more stuff than previous versions. maybe install an older (rev 13) version?

Yeah whenever I have rev 14, none of the Internet connections works (i.e. Homebrew Browser, dop-ios), but everything works fine with rev 13. The only reason you'd need 14 over 13 is the NAND emulator crap, so I just have 13

i never upgraded to rev 14 as i have heard of sooooooo many side effects

I downgraded to 10, and it seems to work fine. The only reason I had upgraded to 14 was for a couple bug fixes that remedied bugs added in in 12 and 13.

hrm, I have 14 and I've never had an issue due to it
