Super Mario War Wii

Hello, sorry i only took a quick look around so I hope this question hasn't already been answered a thousand times--- :)
For Super Mario War on the Wii-
I can connect and play with two wii-motes no problem, but i can't seem to get the 3rd and 4th wiimotes to sync up.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem...I've read about a few people having trouble getting the game to load
or getting the first 2 controllers sync'd with the game, i've had no problem with that, although i do experience the occasional
code dump (not sure if there is anything i can do about that). So yeah, any help or response is appreciated, thanks!

BTW- i've already tried syncing the remotes in the wii system menu but they reset once the HBC is loaded...
and this game is great, if you dont have it, get it. Tons of characters, maps and game modes that can easily keep a crowd
entertained.
