What apps work with 4.2 USA wii?

I have a USA WII bought in 11/2007. I used to have the HBC on it but at some time or another it disappeared, maybe when I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2. I just used bannerbomb 2 to reload HBC and it was successful although DVDx is just an empty folder. For some reason though I cannot get Backup launcher 0.3 gamma to work nor DVDDumper. Does anyone know why? Any and all help is appreciated.

As for the HBC being gone, that happens when you update to 4.2 while having an older version of the HBC installed. Just use bannerbomb and the hackmii installer to get it back. You can find both of those on wiibrew.org

Many applications do. If you need to get stuff like Gecko channel launching working (i.e. region free channels and Ocarina), you can use Dop-IOS MOD v10.1 to restore the Trucha bug.
