Nintendo Lan Adapter and HBC?

I'm sorry if this was asked before or is mentioned elsewhere, but I was wondering if the Homebrew Channel recognizes the Nintendo lan adapter as a valid internet connection. I don't have the ability to connect to the wireless network at school with my Wii. It uses a different wireless encryption method than the Wii is currently setup to use.

I wouldn't say it detects it, as that is IOS's job to handle the internet, it is really just associating with the IOS calls correctly

The LAN adapter works not only in the HBC but in Wii-Linux. Not something that could be said for wireless at the moment.

Ok awesome. I'm at home this weekend and have the ability to connect to the wireless network. I will look into getting the LAN adapter and let you know the results when I return to school.

You do know that the wii supports 3 connection profiles and pretty much all common wifi protocols, right?
