recover save game data off bricked wii??

so ive got a wii with a low level brick, savemiifrii doesnt work, there was no "recovery" mode installed prior to the bricking. would i be able to somehow dump the NAND with infectus, and recover the save game files that were on the console??? or do the save game data get stored elsewhere??

You might be able to download some save data off the internet. Can you get in the homebrew channel?

i was wondering the same thing except i have a nand backup from a while ago would this work?

you can extract a NAND dump with certain tools (dunno the names, there are some on WiiBrew I think that can do this.) and find the saves. This could be done with a BootMii dump, or possibly an Innfectus dump, but only if you have your Wii's keys I think (BootMii dumps these at the same time as NAND, Infectus cant dump these I believe.)
