Install homebrew on newest WII

I am planning to buy a WII system. Just wondering if the homebrew can be installed no matter what manufacture firmware version is on the console?

As long as it's not 4.0

not yet at least... it will probably be out soon though. From what I've heard, the original hack does work, but there is not a way to copy the hacked Twilight save to the Wii

If you buy stock that came out before they released 4.0. Meaning if some stores still have old consoles.
