I Have v3.4U - Should I Update Or Downgrade Before Installing Homebrew?

Just wondering whether there's any benefit to updating to the current version before I try to install homebrew.

And if I do update, should I just do it via the wii internet connection or should I do it using a download from an outside source?

Or should I downgrade to v3.2?

I'm new to all this, and from what I've seen so far I gather that using "bannerbomb" is my best bet (I don't have Zelda or Twilight).

You can update before or after installing HBC with relatively little affecting homebrew, but please don't downgrade - The guides never do exactly what they are supposed to.
And yes, use bannerbomb.

Question, could he go down to 3.2u with AnyRegion Changer? Or is 3.4 incompatible with this app?

also, you can run bannerbomb on any system menu(I believe) Downgrading is a BAD idea.

The app becomes incompatible at firmware 3.3v2, so yes, it is incompatible with anyregion changer.
