Unable to install HomeBrew. Pls help!

Hi, I'm sorry for asking a question that's been asked so many times but I can't seem to find any answers to my problem.

I have a ver 4.1U Wii and tried to install HomeBrew using BootMii and HackMii installer but when i clicked 'Yes' after system asks whether I want to install boot.dol, it goes to the Scam page, after which, there is an error saying: "No vulnerable IOS, unable to install".

I see in forums that most usually have this problem after installing HomeBrew but i cannot even get HomeBrew installed.

Pls help!

PS: The system has not been modified in any way and I have not installed cIOScorp as well (don't even know how to).

How did you update to 4.1? And the Wii has never been modified at all? Is there any possibilty that it was modified?

Also, I'd say try running an update (from Wii settings) and it should say that there are no updates available. If not, let it update and then try to run the HackMii Installer.

When i first bought it, it was on version 4.0U. After which I updated it to 4.1U through Wii settings.

When it was on 4.0U it had the same error message when trying to run HackMii Installer, so i thought maybe the system was modified without my knowing so i updated it to 4.1U but it's still showing the same error message.

Well that's weird.. Which version of the HackMii Installer are you using? the newest?

Downloaded the files from BootMii. The newest which is HackMii Installer v0.3.

Okay, try this:

Run Dop-IOS MOD (you can get that here)
--- Place the "boot.dol" file on the root of your SD card and rename the HackMii installer (boot.elf) to something other than boot.elf (so we don;t confuse bannerbomb)
Select to run from basically any IOS (but for this, not IOS 34)
Use it to download and install IOS34 (when it asks about sign check, press B)
This will restore IOS34 to the normal one (if it isn't already).
Then run the HackMii Installer and see if it works.

Wil that by any chance brick my Wii. Just to ensure before trying.

By the way, I just found this in the readme in my SD card after attempting to install HomeBrew through HackMii installer.

Yes, apparently your Wii has been modified. I see a few IOSs that are not native to Nintendo's updates. My idea should fix it regardless and as long as you only install IOS34, your Wii will be fine.

Oh and I believe you do have cIOScorp installed, or at least patched versions of the latest IOSs (which explains why an update didn't fix it and why the installer won't work)

When is says:

"Apply Sig Hash check patch in IOS34?"

Do I click Yes?

No (and that's important) because the HackMii installer won't use a patched IOS

Ok. I see the IOS34 folder in my SD card. How do I run the HackMii installer since now boot.dol is the DOP installer? It doesn't seem to be able to read the HackMii installer which i renamed?

Rename Dop-IOS to something else and rename the HackMii installer back to 'boot.elf'

Nope, still getting the same error message: No vulnerable IOS, cnnot install.

Okay that's weird "IOS 34: revision: 0xffff*" didn't change..
Try the same process, but use regular Dop-IOS
Run Dop-IOS
--- Place the "boot.dol" file (from the "hbc_dopios_v7" folder) on the root of your SD card and rename the HackMii installer (boot.elf) to something other than boot.elf
(You don't choose the IOS in this one)
Use it to download and install IOS34 (when it asks about sig hash check, say no)
Then run the HackMii Installer and it works.

(I'm 90% sure this will work)

Do I need to remove the IOS34 folder from the SD card?

It doesn't matter, but it will go faster if you lea)ve it (because you don't have to download it again)

Tried with the IOS34 folder in SD card. Blank black screen appears after clicking on Yes to run boot.dol.
WIll remove the IOS34 folder to see if it works.
