Unable to install HomeBrew. Pls help!

It doesn't seem to work. I still get the blank screen.

Umm.. try the .elf file for Dop-IOS and rename it to 'boot.elf'
or
Use Dop-IOS MOD and select IOS249 to run off of.
Run it again
--- Place the "boot.dol" file on the root of your SD card and rename the HackMii installer (boot.elf) to something other than boot.elf
Choose IOS249
Use it to download and install IOS34 (when it asks about sig hash check, say no)
Then run the HackMii Installer and it works.

Sorry if I'm confusing you.. I just realized the same thing would be achieved by choosing IOS249

Same issue. The blank screen pops up after clicking Yes.

When i choose IOS249 to use to install, the controller turns off/hangs. I can't proceed.

Sounds like you dont have IOS249, or at least, not working properly.

How do i fix that?

ah.. okay, try selecting IOS250

if my theory is correct, you don't need IOS249 because IOS250 (most likely) works the same way

It seems like I'm only allowed to use IOS35, 36, 60, 61 or 249. No IOS 250 available to choose from.

I chosed IOS35 the first time.

I suspect it's IOS249 coz it looks really weird with v7 behind it.

Also, when trying to install IOS34, there are 2 options. One is to install the newest version, another is the old version, I chose the new version. Not sure if choosing the old one will make any difference.

No, it should be the new version.

You can't install an older version using an unpatched IOS (represented with a "." after in the log). You need a patched one (represented by a "*") which is why I thought IOS36 would work.. you could try IOS60

Still getting the same results with IOS60.

For the record, he got it working by using NUS Downloader to get IOS34-64-v3091.wad and installing it with WAD Manager running off of IOS250
