Homebrew Channel installation keeps failing.

Well i cant believe im actually posting a question in the getting started section, but here it goes... I updated to bootmii beta 3 with the new hackmii installer, and decided to update the HBC too (at the time i didnt know that i already had the latest version.) Well, now when i try to launch the HBC, i get nothing but a black screen. The icon/banner displays fine, but the HBC itself just wont load. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and still nothing. Im on 4.1, with multiple vulnerable IOS's still installed, but i have no luck.....

Weird.... Did you try a re-installation of the IOS that the HBC uses? (IOS 61)

To elaborate more on what topgun said:
Get wiiscu and update IOS61. Then, uninstall and reinstall the HBC after you update the IOS.

That should fix it. :)

ok i didnt do either of those things and have found a new bug! Looks like the Newest version of HBC installed with hackmii installer beta 3 freezes when trying to load off of a USB drive. Worked fine before, now whenever i have my USB drive with my apps plugged in, it wont load.

Oh and my HBC uses IOS21 v 2.2 btw.

EDIT: Ok tried some scenarios and here are my results.
1. Just SD card w/ apps: Loads fine
2. Nothing: Loads fine
3.Just USB drive w/ apps: Doesnt load

Also to note, i had the same amount of apps on my sd card previously and it loaded fine.

EDIT 2: read the fixing black screen stickie, and im going to try it right now to see if it resolves this.

That probably won't fix it, bt it wont hurt to try.

well.... my internet worked and i tried the black screen fix. Installed latest IOS60 with WiiSCU. Uninstalled HBC. Installed HBC. And still, no luck. So it seems this is a bug in HBC version 1.0.3, or my wii is just jacked up. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Did you try IOS 61?

yes i had this problem once reinstalling worked

Does IOS 21 even have USB support? That could be cause of the freezing problem.
