NEW AND NEED HELP

Hello i know this mite be a noob Q to ask
but i just soft modded my wii with the twilight hack
and i want to know

1, is it ok now if i can get rid of the twilight save

2. with the soft modding can i play backup games and import?

2.) Yes, but backups aren't supported here, so we won't tell you how to do that.

Cons :
- Could screw up your Wii with messing around IOSes when it shouldn't, causing some other stuff become impossible to install. *coughcIOSCORPcough*
- Could brick your Wii
- Possible unwanted behaviour
- Possibly uses downgraded software, causing further problems
- Is frowned upon by majority of Wii Homebrew scene


And no, you don't have to softmod or anything to use emulators.

Why would you want the ability of installing cIOSCORP? Or is that not what you meant?

True, you could run the emulator through bannerbomb, but its easier just to install the HBC and then run it through there....

Waxy, Matoking was talking about "softmod" as in the GBAFail sense of the word, not installing HBC. Over there, "softmod" means making wii able to play "backups" (read pirated games), install WADs, and do countless other illegal stuff. And he meant that cIOScorp will stop you being able to install some stuff.

To the OP - Just install HBC, and dont read any of the guides on "softmodding". They are generally fail, full of illegal and dangerous stuff. You can run emulators fine with just HBC, no need for a "softmod".

Download the HomeBrew Browser from wiibrew.org It will let you look at all the games/apps/emulators that are hosted on the HBB website. You must have an internet connection on your wii.

My suggestions:

1.) Gecko os. it is an awesome application. you can apply codes to games and channels, and you can boot import games, too. if i could only use one app, this is the one i would pick

2.)Mplayer CE. You can play music and watch movies with this app.

3.)harmonium. i personally like this app. i can't exactly describe why, except that its fun.

4.) Wiiero. this game is incredible!! :D

5.)Jump'n'bump. 8 player support FTW!!

6.)Super mario war. :D

I'd recommend Supersonic Wii. Its pretty good, but it ocassionaly freezes (more often than other apps I've used). However, it is a very fun game, which is based on a DS homebrew game, which in turn was based on an old PS2 game. Never played the PS2 one, but the DS and Wii ones are awesome. Kinda like Guitar Hero, but better.
