How to play a new game without updating?

Ok so i want to be able to play dvd's via my usb device (ie have my films on my external

hard drive) & i was wondering if this would be possible and if so how would i go about doing

it and what app would i use ?

I have a 3.3E version and was wondering if i should update to 4.1 ? ? ? because i have read

about some games asking you to update before you can play them and so before i run into this

i would like to fix it before....

Also what is "trucha bugged ios" and what use does it have ? ?

I really am a noob when it comes to this and i don't wish to mess anything up so a total

idiots guide is what i would need if at all possible

If you do not yet have homebrew at all, upgrade to 4.2, then install homebrew. Anyway, for playing movies off USB drive you need to use MPlayer CE. And this is completely unrealted to the topic.
