Having trouble installing homebrew channel

Thank you for any help in advance !
Today i dragged the wii out the garage and blow the dust off :) with the idea in installing home brew, the version is 3.3e

I used a guide i found online for dummies, put the files on a sd card , and everything was well i have the home brew channel on my wii menu but when i click to start it the screen goes blank and simply reverts back to the wii menu.

wii backup loader gamecube back up luncher and iso dumper icons are all there ( not tried any yet as im follwing a guide which says i need to go on home brew and install cIos36 installer, but as i said when i clickon the home brew channel and click start the channel does not load !
