I'm not stupid enough to try it, but I believe there are people who are.

The video could be fake, but I think it's somebody's modification. There was something about it on another website, but I can't remember where. *slap*

If it's not, preloader still helps prevent some bricks (missing IOSes) but bootmii/boot2 is definitely the best.

No no, I said that wrong. I mean someone besides them. I think it was on GBATemp or something, not here.

No, it was made by crediar, the author of preloader. It isnt a modification, it was v0.30, but then he released 0.30 without the installer which would have allowed this functionality (the installer changed were it was installed to, allowing this to work, but he released it without installer, so it could only be installed to wherever someone wrote an installer to install it)
