Yes, installing that cIOS will work provided you have an older DVD drive. If you have the latest DVD drive, it still wont work, but anyway. The reason it works is because that cIOS contains DVDx in it, as well as USB stuff for playing media off USB drives, and that cIOS works with all versions of MPlayer CE since about 0.7. The cIOS works fine on all System Menus, provided you have trucha bug. If you have 4.2, and have not yet done any trucha bug restoration, you do not have trucha bug, but its fairly easy to get by running Trucha Bug Restorer, which you can find on the WiiBrew wiki.
