Thats what I thought too but some guy on IRC told me it still removed it for him a month ago even though he did an official update to 4.2. To be honest, I don't know what to believe; But it wouldn't be too far fetched to suggest that Nintendo could reinstall boot2v4 if BootMii was detected.Quote

If you updated officially to 4.2 (i.e. via wifi or disc, not a "safe" updater), BootMii/boot2 will NOT be removed by the update to 4.3, as you already have boot2v4 from that update.
