Wii Recovery Menu

i'm just curious, how is the wii Recovery menu read the disc?

The recovery mode of the Wii System Menu checks if the disc's title starts with 0 or 1. Normal Wii game titles start with R. RZDE is the title for Zelda: Twilight Princess.
