Re: New Wii User in Need of Help!!!

I'm new here too. My Wii has v.3.3U firmware. Can someone tell me what homebrew I need to Copy files like SSBB to my SDCard and how to do it.

To Transfer Files between the SD card and the Wii. Goto

Wii Options (Bottom Left Corner)

Data Management (Left Side)

Save Data (Left Side)

Wii (Left Side)

Then From there you can choose to copy files over.

Eh, I know about the Wii's save manager, I just need help on what homebrew app will allow me to backup those dang Copy Protected saves that the Wii won't let move.

Ah, sweet. Those 2 apps sound just like what I need! So I basicly load the app, insert my game (SSBB) and press reset?

What's the best way to load these apps? TP hack or HBC? I'm having to send off my Wii for Disc Drive repair, so I'd perfer not installing HBC since it'll leave logs....

oh, you don't have the HBC yet?

well then you can use the TL hack to boot those apps... put them in the root of your SD card instead of the HBC installer and do it that way...

Also, does the SDCard need to be in any specific format? cuz mine is already in FAT.

Well I was able to use the Save Extractor, so I got those files backed up. Yay!

I decided to try to put the Homebrew Channel on but I noticed that the DOL file for it isn't a DOL file in the download I did. It was I guess a Binary source file? Since I do all my file d/l once a week at a library, Can someone email me the DOL files of HBC & HBB?

OK I down loaed the zip files to the SD card. I unziped them. But when I goto the Wii screen there are NO files showing ??? I followed the instructions from above. I am using a Scandisk Media 2 GB card

Put them in your apps folder on your SD card.
