I'm middle good at DS programming but still new to Wii programming, it's way diffrent from DS one in many aspects like background and sprites displaying (they had to be in while(1) or they would not appear o_O) I will try WCS and try to learn for now by myself, I don't want to ruin Your vacations :P it will be nice test for me if I can manage something like GRRLib with WSC ^_^ Haby iSubaru - Coding
Thank You all for kind responses :) Guess I will try GRRLib then, I don't have much to rewrite since it was on one project beginning per big B and on other was some kind of porting from DS project so nothing lost...oh third project was from a scratch but as well not much coded I will try WCS too, oh and I will PM You LordAshes if anything will come up about it :) But first things first, iby iSubaru - Coding
Well I'm aware of that list but I'm confused a little which one of them (not counting MLLib of course) would be easy to use even if would offer for example only simple graphic operations, I just don't have enough mind power to learn about difficult libraries, I try my best but it's not easy in the end :( So...which one of them shall I try? Thank You for responses and spareby iSubaru - Coding
Hello there Long time no see I have tried recently resuming my Wii programming but no matter what I still get code dump screens, I have latest MLLib (24 December 2009 o_O) and latest DevkitPPC and libogc (plus few other libraries including dependencies of MLLib) I take wild guess it is just incompatible with latest DevkitPPC and libogc so I would like to ask if there is other easy to use libraby iSubaru - Coding
Guess I will think of buying it for real this time...but to utilise it in programming I must find better library since MLLib seems to be deprecated...by iSubaru - Coding
...That is GREAT idea O_O some real deal sword fighting ;] I wonder if we have enough room space we could in theory do in-game tricks similar to "Sonic and the Black Knight" :P that would be (too) great xD OK where I put my sword this time ...by iSubaru - Coding
Oh so it's done :) I told friend it will be possible but he was so pesimistic <_< Now I know that I won the bet Only thing left is to think about good idea for utilising it :)by iSubaru - Coding
I made some "corrections" but it's still not that :P Dolphin emu says that: net_init - 0 net_socket - 469762048 (whatever it is) net_connect - -106 net_send - 0 net_receive - 0 net_accepte - -12 The code is: #include < MLlib.h > #include < network.h > #include "consolebg_png.h" #include "cursor_png.h" #include "font_png.h" char *message; char *buffer; bool swby iSubaru - Coding
Ah yes MP3 format is war one...somewhere it is free somewhere pay-to-use...it drives everybody sick :P MOD/XM files are in network for free there is tons of them, search for some mod library or something, I don't have any good files near so that's why I'm pointing on network, sorry :( You will need tracker program to play them like MilkyTracker I mean play on PC to check out whaby iSubaru - Coding
Yup it's Linux program, You need Windows one? I can try compiling it for Windows if I will find source but it may be difficult... EDIT #1 In other hand I think there was Windows program which worked that way but maybe was called diffrentlyby iSubaru - Coding
What about MOD files like MOD or XM? They can sound nicely and don't each much memory, on Nintendo DS it's great solution I must say and Wii for sure can technically play that files...by iSubaru - Coding
I can see only two "problems" that could be fixed in some future :) 1) buggy parser: Forum tries to parse < > lines even when someone is pasting what file he included in code by #include so instead of getting for example #include < stdlib.h > (without spaces) we get just #include 2) Avatars what about adding option to use avatar? even small like 50x50 or 100x100 pixels, it wby iSubaru - Feedback & Support
You can as well try messing with string.h file to make stricte string variables but since there is a way to make string from char it's not that much necessary Plus on next time when including code try to paste it with spaces here: #include < file.h > because this forum somehow tries to parse < > as HTML tags even that as .h files they aren't them, that makes for example iby iSubaru - Coding
Yeah I don't have much experience, I had some tries but this time it's serious, with "thousand" of tutorials opened :D with Yours as well :) I made some of this net_ commands and I got some responds from variables, most are zeros so probably it's ok (as man socket says) but net_accept turned -7 so it's probably some error... I will provide that fragments, maybe...no, not maybby iSubaru - Coding
Thank You for reply :) Now to results: 1) I have included network.h and it compiled without any errors or warnings so it looks like it passed 2) I have checked PCtoWii and found main section with that Init You mentioned, now things are going easier :) So I guess first thing is to try define in some way server adress even static for now, port, channel and such things then trying to connectby iSubaru - Coding
What the... I have been copying with files...I will try editing post, maybe there is some error, if that won't help I will write without [ code] Tag <_< Sorry for problems One sec EDIT #1 Fixed, I had to put space between "<" and ">" and text...strange...it shouldn't parse unknown tags in < > EDIT #2 I had somewhere Python simple script to connect to certainby iSubaru - Coding
Hello I have tried a bit by myself but it looks like coding IRC client is not as easy as I wanted There are 3 header files I tried to use: #include < MLlib.h > #include < sys/types.h > #include < sys/socket.h > But last two gives errors, dunno why, maybe DevkitPPC doesn't like Linux header files :P My question is what libraries (and eventually where search for themby iSubaru - Coding
Some tutorials are on wiibrew wiki page, some on network, I have managed to run that Wii Linux but it took some time I must say :Pby iSubaru - Coding
That reminds me program wiigui if I recall correctly, it worked similar way, to debug what Wiimote "is doing" :Pby iSubaru - Coding
If by editor You mean typing text (code) then...gedit or kwrite :) Nano would be nice idea as well because it will work no matter what :D (it's console editor)by iSubaru - Offtopic
Eye-Toy thing application for Naruto Games would be more than great even if we would have to create games as well because probably implementing it into commercial ones would be nearly impossible...but nobody chases us anyway It would put a lot of work but who knows maybe we would be able to sell it later :D OK enough of hard-to-do dreams ^_^"by iSubaru - Ideas, requests
Try installing NetworkManager, maybe it will solve problem automatically You can as well try system-config-network and do some configurations manually ;) (some people like that)by iSubaru - Offtopic
Oh...so that's what... You was right Arikado sir, there wasn't Draw command :) I feel a bit shame for such mistake I made, I guess it's partially because of habbits in Nintendo DS programming (sprites are handled in a bit diffrent way, there is loading on background numbered 0-3 so sprites are always visible if background image will be at #3 and sprites at #0, I didn't fouby iSubaru - Coding
I made this way update of alone libogc to solve some output problem and everything works :)by iSubaru - Getting Started
Hello I've searched on Wiibrew wiki and found that forum so I guess someone will know how to solve that problem :) I have started yesterday coding with Wii with use of MLlib which I must say is really great I used some simple functions and all was working great but when it came to sprites... I have written this about sprites: ML_Image MikuBGData; ML_Background MikuBG; // we declare oby iSubaru - Coding
