Thanks for all the help everyone, but I spent about 5hrs off and on today and I still cannot get Hello World! to work, even when I got it to compile without errors it still didn't run right. And I'm thinking even if I got the codes you guys are showing me to work, since they are a lot different then whats in the book, then the future lines of code in the book aren't going to work fby a420nyer - Offtopic

I downloaded Dev-C++ and already like it better than Borland, but I still cannot get hello.cpp to run. I know I'm just starting but it is really discouraging that with step by step instructions I can't get this simple program to run. I found that the Hello World program is built into Dev-C++ but when I opened it up it looks a lot different then what the book told me to type and the bookby a420nyer - Offtopic

OK I need an honest answer (no matter how harsh) I'm trying to keep with tradition and make HELLO.cpp, I have the Sam's Teach yourself C++ in 21 days. The book makes it sound like a four year old could do it, and yet I'm totally lost is this a sign that maybe I'm not as computer literate as I thought and this is way over my head? The book says "just" compile it, link it and ruby a420nyer - Offtopic

I was wondering is learning C++ hard? I would be interested but I work about 50+ hours a week and have 2 kids (would I have the time?). I don't know Linux (which I'm sure is a huge disadvantage) I run XP Black (if that is gonna remove this post i meant XP Home) I am familar with DOS (a forgotten art) So what are my odds?by a420nyer - Offtopic

If you know how (and I think there is software that helps) you can put any song you like on it. Myself don't know anything about it. I do know that there is a pretty wide variety of songs to choose from. I believe the files are meant for a PC version of Guitar Fun, but they both use the same format.by a420nyer - Homebrew Applications

I got guitar fun to load on the SD card, but whenever I try to load a song it says Memory Card Error Song Saves Data - I'm pretty sure I have all the directories set-up correctly SD root =apps:>guitarfun:>songs:>name of the song and in that directory is all of the file from the download. I downloaded songs from Frets on Fire and they contain both song.ogg and guitar.ogg. Does anyonby a420nyer - Homebrew Applications
