Got it. Apologies, I scanned the post in a hurry and didn't realize you had answered the question BG4545. Thanks for clarifying.by KnoWei - Homebrew General
@Comex. Not sure what you mean by "extract an ARC". When you download the ARC zip file it has AnyRegion_Changer1.1b.dol in it and a bunch of other stuff. If you are running the TP exploit for the first time you can put the *.dol in the root directory and it will launch ARC. You can scroll down past all the region settings and near the bottom (as I'm sure you are aware) there's anby KnoWei - Homebrew General
Yes. Just the *.dol from ARC and rename to boot.dol. It requires an active network connection to get the files from the NUS server. There's a video here so you can see what to expect. This video has HBC already installed but after a couple minutes you will see them running ARC. ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew General
You can also click on the network icon in the lower right corner of the HBC Apps menu and it will attempt to reinitialize the network. I have had to do this a few times when I'm using a manually configured wireless connection. I use DHCP for the wireless connection. If the icon is blue then click on it to reinitialize. If it's white then it's connected. ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications
Found the answer here: Hate it when I put all that effort into a post and then find an answer. For those too lazy to click here's the answer thanks to "rodries"... :-) 1- Unplug usb ethernet 2- power on wii 3- open mplayer wii 4- when menu is shown plug usb ethernet Wired connection worked after these steps. ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications
I've successfully installed Mplayer-Wii. I'm currently using the mplayerwii-agentx[1].r3 download from here: I have three internet Connection Settings defined in my Wii console. 1 = Wired Connection set for fixed IP 2 = Wired Connection set for DHCP 3 = Wireless Connection set for DHCP For the wired network I'm using the Datel Wii Lan Adapter. All three settings suby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications
Questioning Mods aside... :-) I too rented SSMB last night from Blockbuster to perform my upgrade from 2.2u. I was surprised to see it upgraded only to 3.1u as I was expecting 3.2u. Such are the mysteries of life and software. ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew General
UPDATE: For those 20 souls who've read this thread - this entry is for you. :-) I got one more line of output from the program after abour 2 hours. It was... Request: http://nus.cda.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/000000010000001e/00000015 Ret:0 Then after another couple hours the ARC exited to it's warning menu. So I accepted it again and it took me back into the ARC program. I tby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications

UPDATE: Seems to still be percolating. Just got a couple more lines: ES_Decrypt returned -1017 Content 1/15 ID: 00000015..\ So will let it run a bit longer. Maybe just a slow internet connection? ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications
I seem to be stalled on upgrade to 3.2u using latest AnyRegion. I'm moving from 2.2u to 3.2u Steps Taken: Copied Twighlight Exploit and ARC renamed as boot.dol to my SD root. Set up the Twighlight Exploit and ran successfully. ARC kicked off successfully. I arrowed down to the upgrade section and the started the upgrade. No changes were made to the region settings Current Sitby KnoWei - Homebrew Applications
QuoteDrLuckyalso make sure it can connect to WC24 for that (it gets the 3.2 update from Nintendo's servers) An interesting little twist. I enabled wireless (for the first time ever) on my 2.2u Wii. I then began the sequence to enable WC24. The EULA it asks me to accept is dated November 17, 2008 and has the "Updates and Upgrades" section in it. This contains the clause that allows Nintby KnoWei - Homebrew General
RE: Updating to 3.2 via a newer game disk. Yes, I had read that too but after quizing the kids we haven't come up with any candidates for loaner copies yet. And they already got enough stuff for Christmas. :-) Fortunately we have a copy of Zelda TP on hand so I am close enough to get started. ~KnoWeiby KnoWei - Homebrew General
QuoteDrLuckythe auto update that you are referring to is only on the 3.4 Wiis because of the new EULA with it, so it isn't necessary... Ah... yes of course. Thanks for the clarification. I had assumed that earlier IOSes might have been self checking for updates; sounds like perhaps not. I haven't previously activitated the network for the Wii as we had no real need for it. Hi - new to WiiBrew Forum. Have used Independence Exploit on PS2 and Zelda TP Exploit looks similar. I'm pretty comfortable with what I've read in the Wiki and this forum on loading the exploit and installing and running HB apps from the SD card so I'm planning to do this later today or Saturday. My Wii console is still at Menu v2.x and it is a U.S. console. My primary goal fby KnoWei - Homebrew General
