I've gone ahead and bought a US copy now, should be here soon..I'll only be worried if THAT store doesn't work. xD Don't regret getting the PAL copy though. Why? 'Cause I won a double pass to see Metallica. Pretty epic~by Rizaria - Homebrew General
Quotejbc007You could make it work, but you may not want to. If I'm not mistaken, this would have to do with your shop channel region. If you change your shop channel region with AnyRegion Changer, I think it would work (I have not encountered this sort of situation before, so this is all theoretical). However, you likely will need to delete your existing shop channel account first, therebby Rizaria - Homebrew General
My Wii is modified with some Homebrew to be region free. I've yet to have problems with this, but now I do. I was impatient -and wanted the pre-order bonus of possibly winning Metallica tickets- so instead of importing my Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock from the U.S, I grabbed one here in Australia. Now the game itself works just fine offline, and connections to the Wi-Fi and game servers.by Rizaria - Homebrew General
Quotejbc007Use DOP-Mii to install the latest revision of IOS 56 and the shop channel. Thanks, exactly what I needed! Now to figure out why nothing is appearing in my Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock store..by Rizaria - Getting Started
I'm on 4.1 and don't want to update/go through the hassle of getting stuff working again. How do I go about just getting the Wii Shop Channel working again? WiiSCU seems to be gone, is there another app I can use?by Rizaria - Getting Started
QuoteagoajYou could store some tracks on your computer and FTPii them over when you want to use them. It'd probably be quicker for me to just swap SD cards. Even with my MacBook by my side, it'd be quicker to do so than either edit my SD card or send stuff over via FTPii methinks. An interesting idea nonetheless though. Have yet to try that program anyways.by Rizaria - Homebrew General
Wow...just as well you mentioned that. Looked it up and it seems GH doesn't support them. That...is...really stupid. Guess I hafta split downloadable tracks over multiple 2GB SD Cards. So poor... Again, it all comes back to Nintendo saying their users don't need much room on their Wiis nor even external drives to make up for it. Grah. It has only now presented itself as a problem toby Rizaria - Homebrew General
I mean the Wii as a whole, I need it for GH as stated above, not homebrew. Don't use THAT much homebrew. xD But I'm anticipating more GH songs to download.by Rizaria - Homebrew General
Alrighty then. Finally got past the whole issue with getting GH songs..discovered WiiSCU today and installed IOS61 plus updated the Wii Shop Channel. 'Twas just dandy...until I'd downloaded about 6 songs then BAM. Apparently my 2GB SD can't hold them anymore. Cleaned off some useless crap, but to no avail. So obviously, I should get a bigger SD card and probably keep it just forby Rizaria - Homebrew General

QuotejarvoltI'd also like to know if the latest Gecko OS will reboot with hooks for 4.0. That's what's holding me back. Yeah, same here really.by Rizaria - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoQuoteRizariaQuoteArikadoGecko OS's reboot with hooks function will cease to work. Even with the newest version? Dunno, on the older versions it claimed to "fail to load the system menu". That error was caused by the 3.3v2 update and newer updates. Hmm...that's a bit of a pain. Once again, I am torn~by Rizaria - Homebrew General

Now, as far as I know...Nintendo can't update my Wii without me knowing like they mentioned with the last update, nor will they brick my Wii for having Homebrew['cept for cheating, which doesn't bother me...I don't even play online, and certainly never cheat there.] so I feel it's 'safe' to update, but I need to know what if anything works with 4.0 I alreadyby Rizaria - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoAs of 4.0, I believe (believe so correct me if I'm wrong) its currently not possible to update just the shop channel. It used to be though. I'll talk to tona and/or muzer to see if they're working a new app that will allow you to do that. Alrighty, thank you.by Rizaria - Homebrew General
Alright...I have a US Wii and I'm in Australia, so the only way I can purchase Wii Points is via the Wii Shop Channel itself. But of course, it wants me to update now. Now, I haven't updated for awhile. I remember last I checked, they changed the EULA..so avoided it. But, were there any actual changes to the firmware or whatever that makes the whole 'invisible threat/downloadsby Rizaria - Homebrew General
