Anytime I am not connected to the internet and I try to load up WiiMC I get a code dump error. If I am connected it works just fine. Is this supposed to happen?by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications

QuoteTerrycOK so first of all i would like to say how excited i am to be able to install homebrew on my family's WII!!! Im currently running 3.4 on my system... from what i can gather if i update to 4.3 (to install Opera channel) i should be ok to still install with the smash bros exploit....am i correct? i am completely new to this so please be patient.by billsfan444 - Getting Started
Is your Wii & Smash Bros disc NTSC? Because Smash Stack doesn't work on PALby billsfan444 - Getting Started
No, updating will not brick your Wii.by billsfan444 - Getting Started
I have a question... does anyone know why this error occurs, and why does deleting the "no_ios_reload" resolve the problem? This has never happened on my Wii before, but yesterday I installed the HBC on my friend's Wii. Then I just copied the contents of my SD card onto his SD card, and when he tried loading the roms it would bring up the code dump error. I just find it weird that it doesnby billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Usually people brick their Wii's when they do something stupid like downgrading their Wii software. As far as I know no one has ever bricked their Wii installing the HomeBrew Channel. And yes, putting homebrew on your Wii is very easy for a noobie. I'm the perfect exampleby billsfan444 - Getting Started
Hey guys I have a similar question, i figured I'd just ask it here... I have the latest version of the homebrew channel, and I just updated my Wii to the latest System Menu. If I click on the Wii shop channel and if it asks for me to update something will it remove the HBC?by billsfan444 - Getting Started
thanks for the reply! mods can lock or delete nowby billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Hey guys I just have a quick question about the IOS58 installer app... I recently went on the homebrew browser and downloaded this app, and I installed it no problem. I'm just wondering if I have to keep the installer app on my homebrew channel, or can I delete the app now and I'll still have the IOS installed. Sorry if this is a really dumb question, I'm just curious.by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
When I create save states, I go to "new snapshot"... not "new SRAM" Have you tried that?by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Quotejabce85BIG thanks to the Wii64 team! I agree! the wii 64 team deserves a million thanks for making this emulator. I hope that the next update for the wii64 will make games run a little faster, and more games will be playable (like Diddy Kong racing for example). But regardless, this is an amazing beta release.by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Wow, I really hope they release this update soon! and by soon i mean... NOW!!by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Quotecactusjack901yes. the solution is not to use codes online, don't be a dick, play legitimately. yeah I agree. Cheating on COD is not cool.by billsfan444 - Getting Started
thanks for the link, Arikado. It was an interesting read. I can't wait for the new update to be put on the homebrew browser!by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
QuoteArikadoDo you know anything at all? Wii64 is running games at full speed. what?! where can you download the newest update of it? Is it available on the homebrew browser?by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
so does anybody know when they are going to release an update for wii64 that makes it work way better?by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Only GC controllers work. But for a lot of people you can't even load the roms, it gives you an error message. And if the roms do work, they don't work well. The emulator doesn't run very smoothly at the moment. I would recommend just waiting for the new Wii64 update before you start using it.by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
Anytime I load up Snes9x it lets me know that a new update is available. I click on "update now" but nothing seems to happen. I've waited 5-10 minutes, and nothing pops up... there is no progess bar showing it's downloading/updating, no anything. Is this a common issue? Should I just be more patient and wait longer? Can somebody give me any tips.by billsfan444 - Homebrew Applications
awesome! i already have gecko downloaded, and I kind of figured that may work but I never tried it. Thanks for the quick response, mods, feel free to lock or delete this thread or whatever. :)by billsfan444 - Getting Started
Hello everyone, I just went out and rented the new Wii Punch-out game and was very excited to play it. However, when I was about to load the game, a message came up on my Wii telling me I had to update something before I could play the game. It also stated that if I allow the update to happen, the update may or may not delete any unauthorized stuff I put on my Wii... which obviously I have. Myby billsfan444 - Getting Started
yeah, thats true. they were great too. but you helped me the most, that's why you got the cookie.by billsfan444 - Getting Started

kage, i just installed the homebrew channel using hackmii, so dis-regard what I just wrote. Now that I have the homebrew channel, do I have any use for bannerbomb anymore?by billsfan444 - Getting Started
uhhh..... Well i can get the Homebrew Browser up when I open it with loadmii... something is telling me the Homebrew channel & browser are different things??by billsfan444 - Getting Started
yeah I did that, but it just freezes my Wii. But I'm trying to open it up with LoadMii. When I'm in my Homebrew Browser I can't find that file anywheres.by billsfan444 - Getting Started
ok thanks again Kage! I'm going to try that ASAP. I would get rid of bannerbomb, but I don't know how to get rid of it... edit: wait, so I'm finding the boot.elf in the actual homebrew channel? where exactly am I supposed to find that there? I'm just seeing a big list of apps i can download... nothing from my sd card. Is the homebrew Browser the same thing as Homebrew Channby billsfan444 - Getting Started
