Put it in the same directory as the rest of your homebrew applications. You should end up with your .dol/.elf and any supporting files in sd:\apps\\ where is more than likely the name of the application - in this case WiiSX. Then you put your BIOS image (SCPH1001.BIN) and your ISO images (which must be in .BIN or .CUE format) in sd:\PSXISOS\.by Tansunn - Homebrew General
QuoteMISSPAINpressing power doesn't do anything :/ so i have to plug it out, and i'm worried. You shouldn't have to do that. Try holding the power button for 5 seconds instead of pulling the power cable.by Tansunn - Getting Started
Some applications give me code dump errors when I run them from my 4GB SDHC card, but when I run them from my 1GB SD card, they work fine. (In my case, WiiDoom, the save game extractor/installers, and WiiSX run on the 1GB but not the 4GB.) If you have a SDHC card, I'd suggest getting a cheap SD card (1 or 2 GB) and try using that.by Tansunn - Getting Started
If you download a program that already has an apps folder in the .zip file (or .rar, .7z, .whatever kind of archive), simply extract it to the root of your SD card. So if your SD card comes up as drive E: on your computer, extract the file to E:\ and it should work when you load the Homebrew Browser.by Tansunn - Getting Started
Is the savegame extractor giving you any kind of error message when you run it? If you use your PC to delete the save folder from the SD card, does it show up again after running the savegame extractor?by Tansunn - Offtopic
@Tantric - Thanks for that bit of info. That would explain why it was such a widespread problem, since it would probably be easy to miss that if someone was doing just a quick port of some software to the Wii. Good to know that at least the issue is known.by Tansunn - Homebrew General
@MattMan - Nope, they're an in-ear set that only fits one way, and it's not like I'd constantly make that mistake only while doing homebrew. Also, it's starting to look like it may have been an error in the original compiler because I updated some of my software and the problem was fixed in some of them. MPlayer CE and WiiDoom still have reversed stereo, though, even afterby Tansunn - Homebrew General
If someone gets this to work, I would highly recommend putting in an option to customize controls. Directly mapping the GCN A, B, X and Y buttons to the CC A, B, X and Y buttons might not always be the best way to handle things.by Tansunn - Software
I'm not sure what's causing this, but for some reason, whenever I play any homebrew software, the left and right audio outputs are swapped. It will be just fine in a normal Wii game, but when I load up some homebrew (Quake, Doom, MPlayer CE, SNES9x, just to name a few) I have to swap the red and white cables to get the sound oriented properly. I play with headphones, so the effect isby Tansunn - Homebrew General
