Okay in Bootmii, you can't use the Wiimote due to incompatibility with the system; the programmers know of this. Try using the power button on your Wii to cycle and the reset button to choose. It looks different probably because you don't have any applications yet. We always suggest the Homebrew Browser first: . After you put that on your SD card it should be in a path something lby Kage52124 - Getting Started
Quotedaniel_c_w A friend of mine and I we usually play Dr. Mario, when she conmes over, but maybe we can give the game a shot (every little shallow bit of pun intended :D) Ha ha ha. Enjoy!!by Kage52124 - Getting Started
You don't have to install BootMii, just install the new HBC and you're good to go.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
It doesn't hurt to keep bootmii as hardly anyone would notice it's there if you delete/rename/whatever your bootmii folder in the root of your SD card, but if you must uninstall it, get the new hackmii installer and it has the uninstall feature in it as well:by Kage52124 - Getting Started

You know you can just install the new version and it'll overwrite the old one (hopefully). Can't hurt to try...by Kage52124 - Getting Started
The private folder is ONLY used for bannerbomb as it is made to look like an official wii channel. that's why the folders are structured the way they are.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
If you have NOT been able to install HBC, DVDx, or BootMii yet, either due to crashing using bannerbomb or any other reason, GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT!!! Team Twiizers just came out with a new installer that includes updates for all the programs and the installer itself, giving you a much better chance of pulling it off. Also, you do NOT have to install anything you don't want to. HBC shouldby Kage52124 - Getting Started
Well just sit tight and stick to using Bannerbomb to bring up Loadmii, it works rather well. You don't have to wait for the wiimote to time out IF you turn off WiiConnect24. Small temporary fix.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
AnyTitle Deleter doesn't work on 4.0 anyway unfortunately.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Yeah if you have the Homebrew Channel installed, you're good to go and you don't need Bannerbomb anymore. ;-) So can you not see the two apps you downloaded? Are you using an SDHC card? If you are, SDHC doesn't work with 1.0.2 Homebrew Channel, but keep a hold of it as it should be fixed soon. In the meantime you could get a regular SD card and use that.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
QuoteComex from bannerbomb.qoid.usMy Wii's serial number starts with LU64, is this compatible? Yes, but it might not be possible to install the Homebrew Channel or BootMii. nuf said I'm afraid. You could try using bannerbomb directly with the hackmii installer, but I don't know if it'd help.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
If you're using AnyTitle Deleter DB, it should be easy to find which one is the Homebrew Channel, and if not it should be listed as HAXX i believe...by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Did you do a save state or did you save in-game? Also did you turn off the console immediately after saving in-game? These are all tricky things to keep track of. I would probably use the default save and rom paths just to be safe and make sure that when you're done playing to exit the emulator before turning off the console.by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
Codes are found here: Newest version of GeckoOS: (actually for some reason Wiibrew doesn't have the latest version, but this should do for you.) If you don't have Homebrew Browser I suggest you get it too: that way you'll be able to stay updated.by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
Quoteoliverhow do i put gecko os on to soft modded wii, please help i am confused, i have gecko 1.7.0 i go to run ea sports and it says no sd codes found, help please First of all you could probably get the newest version of GeckoOS and that'd be good, it's easier to get help with current software. You'll need to put the codes you have in GCT format (look at Utilities in Homebby Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications

If you upgrade to 4.0, you won't lose too much, but just remember that "Wiibrew strongly recommends that you do NOT update through Nintendo"by Kage52124 - Getting Started

I'm afraid I don't know, but in my experience even regular DVD movies are choppy with MplayerCE, so I imagine that after this is cleaned up, then they may work on scrambled dvds...by Kage52124 - Getting Started
You already seem to have Bootmii installed as an IOS, so just leave it like that and you'll be fine. At this point in Bootmii, the ONLY thing you can use it for, in your case, is to backup your NAND. Even if it was on boot2, that would only give a little more functionality (auto booting to the Homebrew Channel).by Kage52124 - Getting Started
There are plenty of applications out there you can use that don't need a hard drive, and DVDx can be used to give you a good amount of space if the program you want to use access the DVD drive, but it seems you probably just want to use the HD for playing backups. This forum is rather strict on the subject of backups and such, so tread lightly.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
QuoteArikadoCrediar released an April Fools preloader that bricked your Wii for only a single day. That's the only intentionally malicious homebrew I've ever heard of though. That's just evil...someone smack that man with the splintered ruler!by Kage52124 - Getting Started
So long as you have Bootmii, you might as well keep it and use it to make a NAND backup with that SDHC card you have there. Also, you can go into the settings.ini file inside the bootmii folder and change it so that it immediately loads the Wii Menu or the HBC. When doing this make sure you 'uncomment' the single line that will auto boot. For the regular SD card, just copy the Appsby Kage52124 - Getting Started

You're probably using an SDHC. Right now the homebrew channel doesn't support these kinds of SD cards, but it will be fixed rather soon I'd imagine. If you really can't wait, just get a 2 GB regular SD card; they're rather cheap.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Since I have v4 of MIOS with 3.2u, I'm going to have to be careful in what games I play from now on and more importantly, how I play them, I do NOT want to upgrade my MIOS. Yes you can install the Homebrew channel with Bannerbomb using the Hackmii installer. From there since you can't see what you're doing follow what I put up above and that should install HBC for you, if it doesn't then the Hackmii installer probably didn't let you. From there you're going to have to downgrade in order to fix your region issue since AnyRegion Changer appaby Kage52124 - Getting Started
You really didn't need to do Bootmii...but that's alright. Bootmii doesn't work with the wiimotes, just use the power button on your wii to move and reset to select. Basically you're just about all set. Go get Homebrew Browser and welcome to the community.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
