I just read this off the hackmii blog. Quotehackmii blogIntroduced the INI variable “BOOTDELAY” to set the timeout for the auto boot feature Is this a new feature where if no button is hit during bootmii, it will automaticlly go to the wii menu? What are the details on this new feature and how do I use it?by BEan - BootMii Beta
That explains everything Thanks.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
its made by team twizzers and it says its SDHC compatible Here is another thing, after installing bootmii every homebrew app can load but cannot access the SD card. Any program can load and then gives me an error saying it can't read anything off the sd card.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
I am having a odd problem trying to boot mplayer ce 5.0 from HBC. It hangs up on this message:\ Quotesd acess failed Please review that you have mplayerCE in the right folder sd:\apps\mplayer_ce the odd thing is, I do have it in the right directory My wii stats: wii menu 4.0 North america HBC is up to date Bootmii installed dvdx installed (version that came with bootmii)by BEan - Homebrew Applications
Has there been any word from team twizzers? Also I my brother and a friend both just have HBC installed and run programs off the sd card, they don't do any wads, dvdx, or other ios stuff to the system memory. Are they safe to update?by BEan - Homebrew General
It works, thanks guys. any word on when HBC will be updated?by BEan - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoRemove the gamecube memory cards. you are defiantly going to have to explain this one to me, I don't see how the GCN cards could affect anything. In my wii I just have 1 gcn card plugged in (3rd party) and it works fine, and the problem wii has Nintendo gcn cards in both slots. we will try it.by BEan - Homebrew General
I just installed the HBC on a friends wii using the twilight hack and we ran into a problem. When anyone tries to load a program on the HBC the progress bar pops up and then sticks at 0%. The wii isn't locked up (you can see the bubbles move in the background), it just won't load the homebrew app. we have tried different sd cards with no luck here are some details on the wii Rby BEan - Homebrew General
My best advice, next time nintendo releases a system update, check with wiibrew.org or hackmii.com before installing the update.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
I just updated and now its working now. The downloading is going a lot faster now. Good job, I didn't expect a new version this quickly.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
I just discovered a problem with the homebrew browser that needs to be adressed in the next version. Simply put if you are using a USB ethernet adapter (one that works with wii) the homebrew browser doesn't work with it. When it goes to the black loading screen it goes "initializing network" then "unable to connect now returning to the HBC", also the lights on my ethernet adapter goes out.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
The fact that this has ended up on kotaku does make me feel uncomfortable.by BEan - Offtopic
Does anyone think that a wii port of XBMC is possible? I wouldn't see it as a replacement for homebrew channel like it is a dashboard for the xbox. Maybe it could just pull media from the SD, USB (ipod including), dvd and the local network. any potential?by BEan - Homebrew General
Could it be possible to do a emulator for the old atari 2600 for the wii? My brother has been asking me and I have no answers. He wants to play pitfall and Smurfs badly.by BEan - Homebrew General
I have not seen a ps2 emulator for any system except high-end PC s, so I would saty no to a ps2 emulator on wii. I do think a Play station 1 emulator would be possible.by BEan - Offtopic
I have a widescreen 37 lcd hdtv. If you have your tv and wii set properly then all dvd will be displayed right on the screen. I have tested this with several dvd's, some fullscreen and some widescreen. From what I have seen every movie will fill the screen as big as it can without any stretching or cropping.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
QuoteLink_of_HyruleIts very unlikely a future update will cause your wii to brick because of it. I think the worst a system update would do is delete the dvdx file and prevent it from being installed again. Just like the last system update did to the zelda hack. There is no way a system update would brick your system, unless you altered the firmware.by BEan - Homebrew Applications
I have been messing around with mplayer (dvdlib edition) and I found a few problems. - Setting the language or subtitles in the dvd's menu does not work - every dvd menu option shows a white transparent box, I think this box is used for a mouse on a computer - when you are playing the movie and you try to go to the menu, the video locks up and does nothing, the movie still works. - Onby BEan - Homebrew Applications
