QuotemusicalmattI just went through some of the coding for the channel trying to find a website that the wii downloads the youtube videos from. I don't know if there's a way to change where it downloads, but when I went to the website on PC, it was just a directory with links to .mp4 downloads. If you knew how to change the website where it downloads, could you potentially watch videosby SteelSLasher - Ideas, requests
QuoteTopGun96I think I read somewhere that only 1% of all wii's have that problem. (might be wrong) But yes it is a very rare thing indeed. its rare for the laser to be a different model, its common for dust to get inside if you dont look after you discsby SteelSLasher - Offtopic
Quotecactusjack901OS X isn't based off Linux, it's based off BSD, which in turn was based off UNIX, similar, but different. Also, my single biggest argument FOR buying a mac, is how long the hardware lasts, my iMac G4 has been through A LOT of crap, including, but not limited to being taken apart by the US Secret Service, and lemme tell you, they do not give a crap if it goes back togeby SteelSLasher - Offtopic

QuotetupaerG-Builder doesn't have drag & drop. If you are looking for drag & drop you should use Wii game Studio instead. By the way it's already out. In G-Builder you are going to do full coding. i want to see a quick launch bar where you can put your most used apps like, gecko os or the game loader. I think overall we need something like the win7 taskbar and the desktop where the apps are shown, the start button could be menu shown with the home button on the wiimote, you can place your fave apps on the taskbar, and you can arrange the rest of your apps however you like on the desktopby SteelSLasher - Offtopic

QuoteArikadoI'm still looking for a detailed comprehensive explanation of how this works. Questions I still have: -How are you compiling this into a .dol/.elf? -What language is the app based around? -What libraries (if any) are you using to aid the creation of .dols/.elfs? -Can you provide at least a brief explanation of the logic behind turning GUI (gamemaker) commands into code comby SteelSLasher - Coding
QuotePhoenixTankQuotecagellHey PhoenixTank is WiiConnect able to communicate with devices that are not wii's (regular PC's/Macs)? Are there any plans to support video conference? Thx Erm, don't really know. I believe there are plans for other protocols but it is pretty much just email atm. The wiki page should explain/outline the goals. If it doesnt support msn etc. i dontby SteelSLasher - Coding

Quotecactusjack901I agree with ending the argument, I just want to make one point about your virtualization comment... I don't virtualize anything...ever, I have no need to, I have a cheap IBM Thinkpad T21 that is barely held together for the off chance that I need a Windows only app... Quotesteaky1212I know there are apps that use the network capability but I wasnt aware of any games that currently use this feature (if you can enlighten me that would be great) I have a game that would be nice to have networked, and the traffic could be used to keep the game in sync (traffic consist of IR position). Quotecactusjack9011) the main reason Macs don't have viruses is due to aa working security system. Not saying that the popularity doesn't have anything to do with it, it most certainly does, but people tend to overestimate that effect. 2) I don't know what you mean by "Also, although there are less viruses for mac the newer are worse than many of the ones on pc" I have never seby SteelSLasher - Offtopic

The latest version of Dolphin can no boot the Wii Menu, and I have found instructions on how to get it to boot the Wii Menu. I haven't tested, in fact I am in the process of doing but this has been confirmed by quite a few people so I am assuming it is fine.
