QuoteMertenNoris it passable to make a Wii "browser Window" that loads a URL and uses a config file for the Link and the Controls.. ? calm down, you seem to be really excited about something that might takes months, a wii homebrew web browser is in the works, we hope to implement a flash version higher than 8 to take the piss out of the internet channelby SteelSLasher - Ideas, requests

QuoteSlappyHi I want to test my SDL game in Dolphin emulator. I compile everything succesfully but when I tried to run it in Dolphin emu I can't see anything You want to test an SDL app, why not just compile for windows? or whatever os you have dolphin cant do anything with homebrew for some reason to do with the use GX i belieave as no GX using apps have worked for meby SteelSLasher - Testing Corner
QuoteZeke50100Well, you've got to admit that it is technically better than what the coders here have got so far ^_^ Nintendo have access to development kits for flash and source of opera, we are coding from scratch and we have a renderer and something that is HTTP 1.1 compliant. Adobe would never give out dev kits of flash to homebrew developers and neither would opera (whoever makes opera tby SteelSLasher - Ideas, requests
QuotewiicrewWouldn't let me up date, so i erased the internet channel and reinstalled it. Everything seem good and back to normal! I couldnt get to the shopping channel in the first place anyway because my 4.0 update corrupted halfway and luckily didnt brickby SteelSLasher - Offtopic

QuoteSiLoLook at Silverlight, it runs on Windows and Mac OS X. Just like Flash, there are crossplatform versions of this, Moonlight for Mono. Why would MS want to shoot themselves in the foot? QuoteSiLoWhat I really want to do is make homebrew, using C#/.NET really easy. From what I can tell, Devkit seems to be the main way to go for homebrew, using C/C++. While that is fine, I'd like to use C#. From what I can tell, there are no real documented ways of getting it set up so I assume that it's not a common thing to do. Like I said, I'd like to change that. Do you knowby SteelSLasher - Coding
QuotegiantpuneOk, What I am trying to learn here is what exactly does the Wii game disc tell the Wii when you press the home button and say "Return to Wii Menu". I am looking for the equivalent of "0x100000002LL" from the "s32 WII_ReturnToMenu(void)" function from libogc. In this function, we call "WII_LaunchTitle(0x100000002LL)". There has to be something on the game disc that says "Launby SteelSLasher - Coding
Quotedanj3risI cannot code. I don't know difficult or feasible this would be, or whether or not it would have to work within Nintendo's friendcode or message board systems or not. But I'm excited to think of what could be possible. Thanks. I am researching a possible system that could be placed on top of friend codes without homebrew, i just need to figure out how the wii handlesby SteelSLasher - Ideas, requests

QuoteTopGun96Try a reinstall with the hackmii installer you might want to delete it from the system first, you should have also made a nand backup when you installed bootmii, that would have helped. how are yo loading it, using bannerbomb or HBC also, i dont think non-synced wiimotes are supported by the installer, you should check if you have synced your wiimoteby SteelSLasher - Getting Started
QuoteIceV Quake 3 (with online capability) has quake 3 been ported yet, i dont know which quake has been ported but getting it ported is probably more important than online. Also, online was brought up before, the problem is how to do it, i dont think anyone would donate an entire gaming server for a homebrew game, and i dont think people will be happy entering 15 ip addresses to play a gamby SteelSLasher - Ideas, requests
QuotemdbrimSo i've done some searching of the forum and google and discovered the addr2line feature in devkitpro. I have noticed that san disk cards tend to work best on my wii, also 2GB is probably the most you will actually need for an sd card dedicated to homebrew. My 2gb card still has around 1gb left thats with the many apps and wiiware/vc games on it.
