I've read too he is working on another exploit, on the channel #bannerbomb of the same irc net.

Nobody knows who is right, sure comex is working on a project called benzin [github.com] but I don't know if it's related to bannerbomb or is something else or wathever.

Forget about BaNNeRBoMB, this exploit only works on system that already have HBC.
BaNNeRBoMB needs an encrypted key unique to every Wii that there's no way to get without HBC already installed.

Oh.

Well that made us all have false hope.

I think that nobody knows the answer but comex or anyone who tested it... (I'm not one of the lucky ones)

the best way to create hype on the hacking scene is to spread around real and fake rumors... so trust the people who seem trustworthy

Bannerbomb IS real, just not work on system menu 4.0 that never had HBC installed before. (right now)

I think we will have to wait a little longer for HBC fresh install in system menu 4.0.

TBH, I think Bannerbomb is real.
I think these rumours are just ways of the people who are also anxious to make up time.

The creator of the video I previously posted denies most rumours, but also is unaware about a lot.

The first rumors was that it would not work on a wii which updated through nintendo.
He updated through nintendo.

The second was that you needed HomeBrew before.
He is unsure whether anybody has actually tested that yet.

I think it will be hard to siphon through what is real + not.
So we should just wait patiently, and it might come quicker :]

Actually it now works on 4.0, it just needs a little more bug fixing and some message fixing and it should be done.

Do you know if it works on a clean 4.0u? Also, what is your source?
