StartPatch... Is it worth it?

preloader or start patch

I think StartPatch is better but that is because i have bootmii boot2... (plus it doesnt let the disc spin in the drive like preloader does)

what cios do i need for startpatch?

I belive it says on the wiki page for 4.1 you need cIOS rev 12 or higher. I believe that the patchmii installer will work though as it just needs a trucha in IOS 249 (might be wrong)

I dont believe it will without a trucha in some IOS (I think you can select which to run off in the installer)

i have trucha on some ios's do i just select an ios with trucha?

I belive that is what you can do... Make sure to do network installation and pick an already trucha patched IOS (I would wait for someone else to confirm this)

well back on topic.... I prefer startpatch. Preloader bricked my wii when trying to install it on 4.1. i have bootmii so i dont need preloader and never use the dol loading feature. Startpatch hasnt caused any problems and works flawlessly without any issues.

Found this in the readme: uses Cios 249 ,new ios 36 don't truchabug and gives failure to read the sysmenu Are they saying DONT truchabug IOS36? Because mines is already

which is stupid, as its just as easy to get trucha IOS36 as it is to get cios.

exactly.... from what ive read it is because the IOS 36 method was unstable. (a Trucha bugged IOS is a Trucha bugged IOS right?) except of System Menu IOSs of course

Thats a load of rubbish. A trucha bugged IOS36 will work just as well as a cIOS. It only uses the trucha bug in it, there is no way to make trucha bug more or less stable afaik.
