wii cant read sdcard

ok so i really want to hack my wii but theres an issue
when they tell you to format your sd car (i use a micro sd card with adaptor, i hope thats ok)
i can only format to fat 32 of something like that not to fat(its just not in the list, it only contains fat 32)
but anyway i unzip bannerbomb plus the private thing to the sd card
start up my wii go to the data channels press sd card and put in the sd car
then a message comes up that the wii cant read the sd card or that the object in the sd port cant be read by the wii

if anyone knows the answer it would be very mush appreciated

its a 4 gig micro sd card and i dont know if it worked before bacause its the first time im doing all this

I have a friend who had to buy a regular SD card cuz his 4 gig micro wouldn't work. Got the same message...

so its really just because its a micro that it doesnt work ?

so if i buy myself a 2gig sd card everything should work ?

I can't confirm that it would work, but you may as well. They're only like $20 or less...

will this sd card be able to be formatted to FAT ?
and be read by the wii
has anyone else had problems with a micro sd ?

1.) Yes, you can format it to FAT(16)
2.) Yes, it will be read by the wii.
3.) Yes, I believe so.
