Hi,

I installed homebrew channel and there is an option under its menu "Launch Bootmii", what is its function?

Thanks,

It launches Bootmii/IOS.

not as useful as bootmii/boot2

if you don't know what it is, don't mess with it. you can read up on bootmii in a couple of places. It basically allows you to backup your NAND so that if anything were to go wrong with your wii (brick it) you can restore the NAND. However, you can only restore a bricked wii if bootmii was installed on boot2 (which would have been an option when you ran the hackmii installer)

If it can't be installed as boot2, then it still may serve a few small uses, but isn't as nearly as effective as IOS... and restoring NAND without bootmii as boot2 is not just a simple software thing.
