I think booting while holding 'c' MAY let you boot from disc, allowing you to boot live CD.

wow this is turning out to be quite the topic...... here let me see....

Holding C while you boot will boot from CD, and holding Option will let you choose a harddrive.

And metroid_maniac, Macs are for people who like having a stable OS. Windows is just... well.. it's Windows, what can I really say. Linux is great, highly customizable, UNIX base, etc. etc. I love it... I've experienced/seen a lot of stability problems. Mac OS X, UNIX base, and very stable, not as customizable as I would like, but hey, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Now, I'm not saying that I don't use any or all of these Operating Systems, it's just that Mac OS X is my favorite, but that's just in my experience, you guys may have other experiences which may make you like Windows or Linux (hell, maybe even OS/2) better.

hehe we registered the same day and i have 203 more posts than you :) anyway thanks and i was wondering (stupid question i know) what exactly happens when i say "try without any system change" Does it install anything at all?

No. The way it works is, it runs everything from the LiveCD and the RAM, the harddrive is not touched at all. It can touch the harddrive, but only if you tell it to. If you were running a VM it would make no changes to your computer, just the virtual computer.

EDIT: 200 posts =p

Hãããã...

Please, can someone explain what is going on so far?
NUSD is open-source. And it uses C#. Isn't easier to recompile the source with Mono libraries within a PPC environment?

a .exe is simply a self-contained executable, a .app is more like a container format. beyond that, the OS it runs on is entirely different, Mac OS X has a UNIX core and Windows does not

I read somewhere that a .app is JUST a folder. Finder "disguises" it as a file.

That is what I am saying why not have an application that will take the executable and put it on an .app "folder"

not ALWAYS, but usually that is the case

and TopGun96, because of the difference in the OS

It would be much easier to port NUSD. The source is available, you just need someone with some Mac programming knowledge to port it.

like i said (again) i have next to 0 coding knowledge.

Holding down C doesnt work... im at a total loss... could someone please just port it?
Re: Mac version of NUSD

Well, you need to find someone experienced in Mac programming who actually wants to use it on their Mac, and ask them to do it.
