Battery Life

I was wondering if it is possible to get the wiimote battery life gauge in applications so it could remind you to change your battery when you have let's say 10% left. I

Libogc has the ability to return information to determine the battery's power level. Apps like Tantrics emulators have used this data to display the battery levels on their HOME menus.

if apps that use this are allready out their is it possible to do what nintendo do and pause the game when the batterys go??? Because i get fed up when im playing a game and it doesnt stop when your batterys go.
