Is there any info about creating forwarders? It's it CustomizeMii? It deals with "wads", "bricking" and other bad things. Since everyone is putting in their requests, I'd love a Wii 2600 channel forwarder (my most used emulator). I found 1 or 2 Wii 2600 channels elsewhere, but I think they're a bit suspect. Any takers? Or should I learn to do it myself (I'm all set withby radiohead - Homebrew Applications
Any way that Trantic's near contant updates (2-4 times a month) of Snes 9x, FCE Ultra and Vitural Boy Advance not delete my customs icon.png and meta.xml for HBC? The emulators are excellent and I really do appreciate the effort, but it's frustrating that every time I want to play these emulator, it seems I have to update them - and thus losing my custom HBC files. Does your wi-fi router have enough available connections? You mention 4 pieces of hardware using your wi-fi internet, plus your wii. Sounds like devices are fighting for available IP addresses and the wii is losing out. Maybe you need to upgrade your router. If not all your devices are online at the same time, check to see if you have the most up to date firmware for your router, as it may have aby radiohead - Getting Started
I, too, was paranoid, but I didn't want to keep patching and using updaters. I kept reading these forums and there was a lot of helpful advice, but there seems to be varying opinions concerning the use of "updaters" and "patches". So I just updated to 4.2U via Nintedno this morning and life's just fine with me. All I had was HBC (no bootmii, preloader, etc.) Having the new HBC 1.by radiohead - Getting Started
I was just as fearful updating channels and IOS using updaters as I was about updating to 4.2. But I took the plunge and updated to 4.2U via Nintendo. I had updated HBC prior and it was still there afterward. All is right with the world.by radiohead - Homebrew General
I'm at system menu 4.1 with IOS 61. I was able to update Shop Channel via WiiSCU and got my free NES game. I didn't have to update/install any newer IOS. I picked Punch Out with my 500 pointsby radiohead - Homebrew General
I downloaded WiiSCU for system 4.1 and just updated Wii Shop... Now all is right with the world! Currently, I'm running IOS61 v19.26 (so says HBC. Still not exactly sure what that is, but it looks up to date.) I guess I'll just keep updating this way until this forum says otherwise. Thanks for the help! I've been following these forums for months and have enjoyed all of your homebrew efforts (thank you!) My question: Should I just update to 4.2 and the new Shop Channel through Nintendo, plain and simple? I haven't updated from 4.1U because of all the bricking concerns, but I have patched/installed (?) the Shop Channel via WiiSCU.
